Yasiin Bey, formerly referred to as Mos Def, one-half of the hip-hop duo Black Star, will be performing at La Cigale – 120 Boulevard de Rochechouart – in Paris, France, on Thursday, January 18th.

The unusual show will see Bey doing songs by British-American rapper and record producer MF Doom, effectively paying tribute to him. Doom, who is known for his intricate wordplay, signature metal mask, and “supervillain” stage persona, was a major figure in underground hip-hop before he passed away in 2020. The 14th annual All Stars of Hip-Hop is set for Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Jim Wehlan’s Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It is being presented by Platinum Productions in conjunction with NRJ Partners, and 215 Aphillyiated Inc.

There will be twenty-four MCs on one stage performing back-to-back, similar to a mixtape. Slick Rick the Ruler will be having his 13th annual Birthday Bash on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Brooklyn Bowl – 61 Wythe Avenue – in Brooklyn, New York.

The English-American rapper and record producer who rose to prominence in the mid-1980s was born on January 14, 1965. His songs “The Show” and “La Di Da Di” are considered early hip-hop classics.

Yonkers rap group, The Lox, will perform at Rams Head Live – 20 Market Place – in Baltimore, Maryland on Thanksgiving Sunday, November 26th. The men are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 1998 hit album, Money, Power & Respect.
