Capleton Booked For ’90’s Joyride’ On Jan. 25th

The forthcoming 90’s Joyride dance and live show will be all about the best music and fashion trends from that era. As such, the January 25th staging, which will be held at Pier 1 in Montego Bay, is being subtitled the Mesh Marina Edition. That said, the promoters fittingly booked veteran dancehall artist Capleton to perform.

In the late 1980s, when Capleton arrived on the music scene, he had a slew of hit songs: “Bumbo Red,” “Number One on the Look Good Chart,” “No Lotion Man,” etc. Capleton‘s conversion to Rastafari in the early 1990s led to a change in his lyrics, which resulted in some of his biggest songs: “Alms House,” “Music is a Mission,” “Tour,” etc.
