On August 22, 2025, reggae-dancehall artist Teflon Young King released his latest album, “Life Scriptures,” a ten-track project that blends fresh material with previously released songs. The LP continues his tradition of pairing hard-hitting rhythms with lyrical substance, giving his growing fan base exactly what they’ve come to expect: music with meaning.

“Life Scriptures” balances inspiration and conviction. On tracks like “Dreams,” “Never Surrender,” and “You’re Great,” Teflon lifts listeners with messages of hope and determination, underscoring his reputation as an artist who motivates through melody. Little John to perform at the 15th Annual Y.I.P. Talent Awards

Reggae legend Little John will be at the 15th Annual Y.I.P. Talent Awards & Reggae Showcase, happening on Friday, September 5th, 2025, at the Jamaican Canadian Centre at 995 Arrow Road in North York, Ontario.

Hosted by Elaine Robinson and Sir B from R.R. Radio, this event will also feature performances by Incline, Kandice Kash, Sativa Di Black 1, Gem Shadou, Kairo McLean, Dianne James, Supa Dave, Legato, Neto Yute, Richie Flo, and Fada Price.

On Sunday, August 31, 2025, the Armenian Community Centre of Hamilton, located at 191 Barton Street, in Stoney Creek, Ontario, will welcome fans for a vibrant day-to-night experience hosted by Clean Boss and Ziddy Boo. This year’s staging comes with a unique twist, as the event is branded the “Sports Wear Edition,” encouraging patrons to show off their style in athletic-inspired attire.

Headlining the event is Exco Levi, one of Canada’s most respected reggae artists. Joining him is Eyesus, another talented Canadian act who continues to make waves in the dancehall scene. Adding international star power to the bill is award-winning Jamaican deejay Charly Black, whose global hits have earned him a loyal following worldwide. With humility at its core, the song acknowledges that he owes God “everything,” a theme that resonates with Kelly’s reputation for crafting music grounded in substance and truth.

The single was produced by Josh Harris of Big Feet Records, a label known for collaborating with artists who bring depth and authenticity to the reggae landscape. Harris’ production provides a steady yet soulful backdrop that allows Kelly’s vocal delivery and lyrical intent to shine without distraction. Kweli Fest set for August 26, 27 & 28 in Yellow Springs, OH

Hip-hop artist Talib Kweli will present Kweli Fest as part of Dave Chappelle’s Soundcheck Series at YS Firehouse in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The three-day music festival will take place on August 26, 27, and 28, with a lineup of rappers all regarded as skilled lyricists.

On day one, August 26th, the program will feature Diani, Jessica Care Moore, Large Professor, and Jungle Brothers. On the following day, August 27th, there will be a documentary screening focused on Talib Kweli and Madlib. Performers for day two include Issa Ali, NIKO IS, Skyzoo, Rah Digga, and Coast Contra.

Boston Gospel Fest 2025

The city of Boston is preparing to host the 25th annual Boston Gospel Fest, presented by Mayor Michelle Wu. This milestone celebration will take place at the Leader Bank Pavilion, one of the city’s premier outdoor amphitheaters located at 290 Northern Avenue.
