Reggae Man Wormbass Uses Music To Encourage Women

Wormbass, famed bassist who rose to prominence years ago while working with dancehall giant Beenie Man, is using his many talents – singer, songwriter, producer, musician and artist – to inspire women to do and be more. Last year, he, along with rising star Ch4se, collaborated on a powerful single titled Hold On To Your Pride. The song is featured on the Roots Riddim produced by Africa based imprint, Royal Roots Studio.

On the record, both men passionately urge women to be strong, stay focus and maintain high standards in every area of their lives. Wormbass said as much in a public statement he shared when the visuals were published in late January: “Dedicated to the Queens as a reminder that you are amazing and you should keep believing in yourself. Our society depends on you.”

Hold On To Your Pride (Roots Riddim) can be downloaded from iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and all other streaming platforms. And the official video can be viewed on Wormbass‘ YouTube channel.

Bryann Trejo’s Story (@Kingdomuzic)

Bryann Trejo is the founder and president of Kingdom Muzic, one of the most authentic Christian hip-hop labels in the U.S. In addition to his role as chairperson, he is also an active MC (rapper) and pastor who is literally changing lives with both his music and ministry.

Born on July 4th, 1980, in Corpus Cristi, Texas, Bryann Trejo was one of 2 identical twin babies. He spent most of his teenage years in juvenile detention centers for armed robbery and trafficking in narcotics. By his early twenties he was constantly in and out of lock-up, and at the age of 23 he was facing thirty years in prison for two attempted murders. By the grace of God the charges were reduced to aggravated assault, and Bryann pleaded down to seven years, and ended up serving only four before getting out on probation.

Shortly after leaving prison, Bryann joined his twin brother in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Alas, in May, 2013, his brother was shot and killed in a retaliation shooting stemming from the murder of a juvenile one week earlier (something Bryann‘s brother had nothing to do with). At the time he could have exacted revenge on his brother’s killer, but he chose to love and forgive instead. That’s now his sermon.

Jah Thomas Is In The UK Promoting His New Album “Clarks a Clarks” (@Tadsrecord)

Veteran dancehall artist and producer Jah Thomas is currently in London promoting his recently released album, Clarks a Clarks, which comes to us courtesy of Tad’s Record Inc. The ten-track project came out in mid January – on the 13th to be exact – and it features collaborations with Josey Wales, Peter Metro, Junior Moore, and Thomas‘ son Da’Ville

Jah Thomas‘ signature sound and style – which can be described as lyrically captivating, with a seventies chant – is on clear display on this new LP. The Shoulder Move deejay did not alter his form of expression in anyway; instead he brings us the listener into his world. And rightfully so. It is truly refreshing to hear this type of early reggae-dancehall vibe shared today, especially at a time when there is a healthy debate about both the history, and future of Jamaica’s music.

That said, reggae lovers and industry insiders in the UK are now able to hear from Jah Thomas directly. Persons wanting to work with him while he is in London may do so by contacting +1(876) 850-1399. And remember to stream/download Clarks a Clarks from your preferred music platform.
