Jungle Lava Productions presents “Harder They Come Riddim”

Last summer, Jungle Lava Productions shared their debut rhythm-driven compilation, Natty Dreadlocks Survival Riddim, which received very strong approval from both industry insiders and reggae fans alike. It was praised primarily for its production quality, spearheaded by Jungle George and his team, using all live instruments. Days after it was released, it was immediately highlighted on most of the premier reggae platforms worldwide.

Based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback he has gotten from the preceding project, Jungle George was deliberate in taking the time needed to create his follow-up EP, Harder They Come Riddim

Published only a few days ago on his Jungle Lava Productions imprint, the Harder They Come Riddim is already being labeled the better of the two. It features new music performed by Karamanti, David Conscious, Informative History Man, Jazz Black, Vineyard and Jungle Lava Band, of which Jungle George is the head.

It’s a gripping six-track classic roots-reggae juggling that’s fused with dub. The Harder They Come Riddim is now available on iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, Tidal, and all other digital music stores.

Causion Says Thanks On EP’s Lead Single

A few years ago, shortly before the pandemic, Antigua & Barbuda’s reggae ambassador Causion found himself in a precarious situation. In November 2019 he was rushed to the emergency in South Beach, Florida, only to be told that he had stage 3 colon cancer.

Following his diagnosis – and once he was able to get back to work –  Causion, in collaboration with his longtime friend and veteran musician, Maurice Gregory, co-produced his latest project: The Mission Is in Progress. This is a seven-track EP, released on his birthday – June 24, 2023 – that takes listeners into the mind of the Antiguan singer-songwriter.

The Mission Is in Progress leads with track #5, Thank You, an inspirational record on which Causion publicly thanks Jah for all He has done. “I wrote that song at a time when there was a lot of stress going on in my life, and even though all the things seemed to be going in the opposite direction, I was still grateful for all the things myFather had given me and blessed me with,” says Causion.

‘Things & Time Riddim’ Still Going Strong Months After Release (@Pandemicrecord1)

Things & Time Riddim is an eight-track dancehall compilation, produced and released by emerging music imprint Pandemic Records. Artists featured on it are: Chronic Law, Ikaya, Takeova, Jah Lama, Little Hero, Frass Khalifa, Xip Boss, and Pandemic‘s co-founder Sheldon Edwards.

To date they have shared three visuals from the project: Chronic Law‘s Things InsideIkaya‘s Self Defense, and Jah Lama‘s Fighter. All three clips have racked up thousands of views on the artists’ respective YouTube channels.

Furthermore, Chronic Law‘s tune made it all the way to the #1 spot on Jamaica’s Preedis Top Ten Chart and sat there for a while before being displaced. Equally newsworthy is the ongoing strong response to Ikaya‘s track, Self Defense. It has become a talking point on platforms focused on domestic abuse; while all the other songs continue to enjoy consistent rotation.
