Lt. Stitchie Needs Our Help

Accomplished veteran dancehall deejay Lt. Stitchie, who has given us over twenty albums covering two genres (gospel and reggae-dancehall), written and released a book called The Power of Determination, and won numerous accolades as a music professional, is regretfully in dire straits.

In the last quarter of 2023, his fans and supporters began to notice that he was exhibiting stroke-like symptoms. Not knowing what to make of it, people began to make speculations. Stitchie subsequently withdrew from public events, resulting in even more conjectures about his health and wellness.

Sadly, months later, we are all learning that he has recently suffered a severe brain hemorrhage that has left him unresponsive. What’s more, his family is seeking financial help to cover the costs of his transfer, medical care, and living expenses in a long-term care facility. To that end, they have started a GoFundMe page to raise money in aid of Stitchie’s rehabilitation journey.

Flourgon & Mesha Steele “Touch Di Road”

Veteran reggae artist Flourgon recently collaborated with emerging vocalist Mesha Steele on a new single called Touch Di Road. The song is one of fourteen featured on the West Bound Cruise Riddim, released at the end of June by 29 West Record.

Touch Di Road is a laidback lovers-rock reggae tune on which both artists go back-and-forth saying how they feel in the moment and what they would like to do. The combination of their individual styles, Flourgon‘s deep bassie voice and Mesha‘s silky smooth vocals, stand in contrast and really add an indescribable dulcet tone to the track. Furthermore, on a compilation that has songs performed by the likes of Beres Hammond, Anthony Red Rose, Lymie Murray, etc., it speaks volumes that Touch Di Road is breaking out and captivating listeners far and wide.

As both artists continue to traverse across the U.S. doing their respective shows and promoting the song, Touch Di Road‘s rotation on reggae media (traditional and new) has increased. It’s now becoming a constant feature on reggae playlists and platforms. This and all songs on the West Bound Cruise Riddim can be streamed and downloaded from all digital music stores.
