I-Wayne Added To ‘Original Dancehall Thursdays’ On Dec. 19

Rastafarian roots reggae singer I-Wayne will be performing at the December 19th staging of ‘Original Dancehall Thursdays.’ In addition to his hit songs “Living In Love,” “Can’t Satisfy Her,” etc. I-Wayne is also known for his captivating live shows. 

The Lava Ground artist will share the stage with the likes of VC, Johnny Clarke, Mikey General, King Tidal, Sitara, Ras Oneilly, Torch, King Kamptha, and others. ‘Original Dancehall Thursdays’ is presented at Rebel T H.Q., 52 Dumbarton Avenue (off Eastwood Park Road), in Kingston, Jamaica.

Buju & Beres’ Intimate Concert Set For Jan. 4th In St. Ann, JA

The second staging of the Intimate Concert series is set for Saturday, January 4th, at Plantation Cove in Priory, St. Ann, Jamaica. Headlined by both Buju Banton and Beres Hammond, the show will also feature some of their friends and colleagues.

Irie Pen Records presents The Season (Official Music Video)

It’s the happiest time of the year! And Hopeton Lindo is feeling the vibes with ‘The Season,’ a song that celebrates Christmas. A video for the song, directed by TuneMiami, has been released to share the singer’s joy with family and friends.

Mostly filmed in sunny South Florida and chilly New Hampshire,  the visual captures Lindo spending quality time with loved ones. In one scene, he expresses his joy with a resplendent Yuletide tree as the perfect backdrop.

Lindo has savored Christmas since his childhood in Jamaica. He has fond memories growing up in a large family whose bond got even stronger as December approached.

He explains the objective of the video which is edited by Winston Price Films in Jamaica.

“The concept is to show family and friends coming together no matter the weather to give thanks and celebrate the season,” said Lindo.

‘The Season’ is one of five songs on ‘Feel It Christmas’, an EP produced by his Irie Pen Record label. It also features ‘My Wish For Christmas’ by Peter G‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’ by Novel-T‘Some Day At Christmas’ by Empress Uneek and ‘A Different Christmas’ by Lindo and Anthony Redrose.

The Itals Confirmed For Blue Note Hawaii In January

The Itals will continue their U.S. tour in 2025. They are scheduled to perform at Blue Note (2335 Kalakaua Avenue) in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Friday, January 24. Doors to the all-ages event will open at 5:30 p.m., while the show will start at 7:30 p.m.

The Itals are a Jamaican reggae vocal group formed in 1976 by Alvin “Keith” Porter, Lloyd Ricketts, and Ronnie Davis (formerly a member of The Tennors). All three men had worked together in the late 1960s in another ensemble called The Westmorelites.

Jahman’s Story

Passionate about music, life, and his country, reggae singer Jahman is easily one of the most recognizable names on the St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, reggae scene. Known for his message-laced lyrics, Jahman has shared the stage with such luminaries as Ky-Mani Marley, Sizzla Kalonji, Jr. Reid, former Born Jamerican member Notch, and others.

With five albums released to date, he scored his most successful effort with the 14-track Altitude. Published in the summer of 2018, Altitude was produced by John “Jon FX” Crawford and Splatterhouse Records. It entered the prestigious American Billboard Reggae Albums Chart at number seven. Herbs, Altitude, Call on Jah Mercy, One Day, She Never Wait, and This Girl are just some of the songs that made the album’s track list. She Never Wait was a hit on the Foundation Radio Network Top 30 Music chart in New York, USA.

Very active in the community, Jahman often gives back and contributes to a non-profit organization called Grow Food Inc. by donating funds and performing at their annual festival. The organization promotes the teachings of The Most High, healthy diets, entertainment, and arts and crafts.

In 2023, Jahman released another smashing album called A Purpose. It features his longtime friend Sizzla, Jr. Reid, and his fellow Virgin Islands artists Ras Batch and Pressure. Presently working on his 8th studio album, Jahman‘s music is set to revive and rejuvenate the world with good vibes and positive vibrations.
