Irie Pen Records has officially released “On The Edge Riddim,” a four-track reggae compilation showcasing a diverse lineup of established and emerging talent. Produced by Syl Gordon and Hopeton Lindo, the project blends timeless production with fresh perspectives.

The riddim features contributions from Nia Leanne, Lutan Fyah, Burning Spectacular, Tony Gold, and Hopeton Lindo himself, who also serves as CEO of the label.

Hopeton Lindo’s track, “On The Edge,” delivers an inspirational message aimed at Jamaicans both locally and in the diaspora who have been affected by recent hurricane activity. The song offers encouragement and reflection during challenging times.

Emerging artist Nia Leanne contributes “Overcome,” a motivational anthem centered on perseverance and resilience, reminding listeners of their ability to rise above adversity.

Meanwhile, Lutan Fyah and Burning Spectacular join forces on “Beat The Drums,” a collaborative piece that pays tribute to the cultural and musical significance of drums, celebrating the foundation of reggae rhythm.

Rounding out the project is Tony Gold, one half of the renowned duo Brian & Tony Gold, with “I Wanna Love You,” a heartfelt love song expressing deep passion and romantic devotion.

City Splash 2026: Brixton Prepares for Premier Caribbean Music Celebration

The City Splash Festival has announced its second wave of artists for the upcoming 2026 staging. Headlining this year’s festivities is the legendary Beres Hammond, who will be performing an exclusive UK show. The lineup also features high-profile acts such as Aidonia, Elephant Man, and Gyptian.

Taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, May 25, at Brockwell Park in Brixton, the festival is expected to draw a crowd of 30,000 people. Seeds of Unity, presented by Ijah Maakie / Herb Pocket Productions, will bring together music, culture, and community for a full-day experience on May 16, 2026, at the Drax Hall Sports Complex in St. Ann. The Belize Airports Authority Compound is preparing to welcome two of reggae music’s most celebrated voices for a special Mother’s Day celebration. Taking place on Sunday, May 10th, the Reggae Sundays “All White” Mother’s Day Edition features headlining performances by Jamaican songbirds Etana and Alaine.

The event will be hosted by DJ Dixie and includes appearances by DJ Dalla, Mr. Flava, Future Proof, Xclusive, DJ Special, DJ Dynasty, DJ Biggz, Mad Rocka Mose, and British Geeza.
