New Music from Rocky Dawuni & Cedella Marley “I Got A Song”

“I Got A Song” represents a compelling collaboration between Ghanaian music luminary and four-time GRAMMY nominee Rocky Dawuni and Cedella Marley, a three-time GRAMMY award winner and daughter of reggae icons Bob and Rita Marley.

The song draws its inspiration from the Australian Aboriginal concept of “Songlines,” which serves as a cultural navigation system embodying ancestral wisdom that links people and places. This composition stands as a profound tribute to humanity, skillfully intertwining spiritual connections from Africa to the Diaspora and beyond, and delivering a timeless message of unity, love, and cultural solidarity.

The accompanying music video, directed by emerging talents Ebenezer Brew (also known as Slingshot) in Ghana and Jolver Cutino in Miami, vividly interprets the song’s message through striking visuals, dynamic imagery, and compelling narrative. The video’s vibrant energy reflects the themes of joy, optimism, and global fellowship inherent in the song, harmonizing seamlessly with the rich musical arrangement crafted by Dawuni and Marley.
