For the first time, the beloved ska, rocksteady, and reggae pioneer Stranger Cole will embark on a nationwide tour of Australia. Scheduled for December 2025, he and his team have announced performances in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne.

Despite having a following that would allow him to perform in much larger venues, Stranger Cole has deliberately chosen to do intimate shows across the nation, giving his “Australian family” (as he calls them) a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see and hear him up close and personal. Black Uhuru, the legendary Grammy-winning reggae group, is set to perform at Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Known for their unmistakable sound and deep influence on roots reggae, the band continues to bring timeless energy to stages worldwide, and their upcoming stop in Santa Cruz is no exception.

Sharing the bill is Rise Up, a roots rock reggae band hailing from California’s Central Coast and Bay Area, bringing their own dynamic style to the night. Keeping the rhythm flowing between sets, DJ Spleece will be on deck, curating a mix of music that keeps the crowd moving.

Doors open at 8 p.m., with the show starting at 9 p.m. Tickets are available now through Ticketweb for $45.76. This is a 21-and-over event, and valid identification is required for entry. Guests without proper ID will not be admitted, and tickets are non-refundable.

On August 22, 2025, reggae-dancehall artist Teflon Young King released his latest album, “Life Scriptures,” a ten-track project that blends fresh material with previously released songs. The LP continues his tradition of pairing hard-hitting rhythms with lyrical substance, giving his growing fan base exactly what they’ve come to expect: music with meaning.

“Life Scriptures” balances inspiration and conviction. On tracks like “Dreams,” “Never Surrender,” and “You’re Great,” Teflon lifts listeners with messages of hope and determination, underscoring his reputation as an artist who motivates through melody. Junior Kelly has returned with a captivating visual for his powerful single, “Everything,” released in 2021. The veteran reggae artist uses the track to deliver a heartfelt message that cuts through the noise of vanity and materialism, reminding listeners to focus on what truly matters. With humility at its core, the song acknowledges that he owes God “everything,” a theme that resonates with Kelly’s reputation for crafting music grounded in substance and truth.
