At the end of 2019, Jamaican reggae singer Talmigila began working on a single, which eventually became a six-track EP titled “Master Mind.” The project was completed and officially released on June 1st, 2020, via Talmigila‘s own Banjo Simmonds Music label.

The entire EP is all about highlighting and questioning the “Master Mind” behind the current state of the world; while also sending a “Rasta Message” that encourages everyone to “Wake Up“! Producers and engineers that played a role in bringing this project to light are: Benjamin Jackson (bass player and lead guitarist), Peter Williams aka Peter Pan or Sprangy (keyboard), Lalumba – who is featured on one of the track – and Adrian from Supreme Studio in Miami, Florida. All harmonies were done by Twiggie.

Kashief Lindo, Son Of Reggae Great Willie Lindo, Addresses The Need For “Justice” On His Recently Released EP

00 Kashief Lindo Willie Lindo

Following in his father’s footsteps, Kashief Lindo, who is an artist, musician and producer, has committed to giving listeners nothing but high quality, authentic reggae music.

Earlier this year he shared a six-track (6) EP, titled “Justice – A Conscious Journey.” The project is a collection of well produced reggae songs that address racial injustice as seen from his vantage point. It features songs like “Just Another Question,” which talks about the importance of protecting our children; and “How Long,” which literally questions how long white supremacists will continue in their terror of hatred.

The EP, which is produced by Willie Lindo, is on the family’s own Heavybeat Records label.

ABOUT HEAVYBEAT RECORDS
Heavybeat Records is a independent label that has carved out a reputation for punching above its weight, producing solid reggae gems such as Beres Hammond‘s What One Dance Can Do, classics such as Dennis Brown‘s Inseparable, and timeless anthems like I Wanna Wake Up With You by Boris Gardiner.

Peetah Sancho Brings Out The Beauty In Reggae With “Roses”

Peter Sancho roses pr

After receiving rave reviews for the first single from his upcoming album, roots artist Peetah Sancho followed the release of “When The Trumpet Blows” with “Roses.”

Roses” was recorded early last year (2019). The track initially started out as an acoustic version of Dennis Brown’s song, “Have You Ever,” which was played by Andrew Bassford. After a lot of work with his music team, Sancho eventually created the beautiful sound we now hear whenever the record is played.

The song was inspired by a real life experience. A female friend of Peetah was going through a rough time in her relationship, and because he was interested in her he tried to reassure her that she is a Rose and deserves better treatment.
