On June 20th in the year 1986, British-Irish singer-songwriter Chris de Burgh released the second single from his Into The Light album. It’s a captivating love song called The Lady In Red, which became a massive worldwide hit and is – to this day – de Burgh‘s best-selling single and signature song.
Over the years several artists from various genres have shared their rendition of the track, some removing ‘The’ from the title and opting instead to just call it Lady In Red. Ghanaian reggae act Tradition Man Wolo, is among the performers that’s released a remix. His version, which carries the original title – was featured on his 2022 debut album, Reggae Man.
Fast-forward to 2023 and Tradition Man is now sharing the song’s official video. It was shot and edited in Accra, Ghana by famed Director Tee, the man who is also responsible for Wolo‘s previous clip, Come Home.
The Lady In Red is the third single from Tradition Man Wolo‘s Reggae Man album. It follows the lead track, Back Again, and the recently shared Come Home. This project has, in a short period of time, catapulted Tradition Man Wolo from a virtual unknown – in the music industry – to a highly respected African reggae artist.
Veteran reggae artist Sister Carol has been booked as the headliner for the all female reggae festival in Ontario, Canada, Sistah Fest. Scheduled for Saturday, March 25th, the event will take place at the popular live music venue, El Mocambo – 464 Spadina Avenue, unit 462 – in Toronto.
Sister Carol, who also uses the stage name Black Cinderella, will be joined some top-tier female reggae performers: Nana McLean, Jade Faith and Fancy Lady; with DJ Chocolate and Selectress Sunshine on the ones and twos. Click here to buy tickets.
On March 11th, Livety Promotions will celebrate Fada Zana’s birthday with a massive stage-show called Blue Hole River Splash. It will be held at Blue Hole Spring Paradise in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, Jamaica.

As Valentine’s Day draws near, reggae recording artist Rad Dixon is sharing the second single from his recently released album, Hard Times. The track is titled Right Portion, a love song done with Portmore singer Talee. On the record both performers go back and forth expressing their undying love and desire for the each other, while proclaiming their partner has the Right Portion.
Tasjay Production, the imprint on which the album and all its subsequent singles are being published, just uploaded the official lyric video to YouTube. However, prior to the visuals being shared, Right Portion was already getting consistent rotation on reggae platforms. With that in mind – and as we are in the season of love – one can only assume that its feature on reggae medias will now increase exponentially.
Powered Tasjay Productions, Hard Times is a flawless, solid, roots-reggae album, that touches on varying topics: social issues, relationships, spirituality and creativity. It went live on all streaming platforms on new year’s day, 2023.
