KashieF Lindo’s “Maybe”

Since starting his career almost 30 years ago, KashieF Lindo has had a consistent presence with him whenever he steps into a recording booth; that presence is in the form of his father, ace session guitarist  and producer Willie Lindo.

Like most of his songs, KashieF‘s latest effort, Maybe, is produced by Willie for the family’s Heavybeat Records. The singer said the song came from a typical brainstorming session. “It really comes down to my father; he comes up with these ideas, and then I throw my two cents in,”KashieF explained.

Because Willie Lindo is credited for producing hit songs performed by Beres Hammond (One Step Ahead, What One Dance Can Do), Dennis Brown (Inseparable, Since I’ve Been Loving You) and Boris Gardiner (I Wanna Wake up With You), music insiders are usually on the look out for anything coming from his label.

That said, KashieF Lindo, who first made the charts in the late 1990s with singles like No Can Do and The First Cut, is, according to the experts, on track to do so again with Maybe
