Jah9 Sends Message To Persons Stuck Inside Due To COVID19 (@Jah9)

Reggae artist Jah9, who is also a certified yoga instructor, has joined the public conversation about the corona virus pandemic.

At the end of April she sent out a message to her supporters giving them a general update on her recently released album, Note to Self. She also shared her opinion on how we all should be dealing with being locked in during the pandemic. See her statement below.

“As we strengthen our physical immune system, it’s important to secure mental immunity. For me, the basis of my mental health maintenance is breathwork. This video is the foundation of a breathing exercise which can be used to calm and satiate the mind in times of worry and anxiety. Remember, you’re going to be okay, we will be ok together.”

Yesterday Etana announced that she will be doing a live performance on Saturday, May 16th; it will be streamed via her Facebook page and Instagram profile. She will be supported by members of her crew.

Unfortunately a start time was not given so her fans and followers should ensure that the notification on the aforementioned platforms are turned on so that they can be notified when the show starts.

Three (3) Communities In St. Mary, Jamaica Now Under Quarantine Until May 21st

As of 6:00 AM, Thursday, May 7th, communities in Dover, Enfield and Annotto Bay in St. Mary, Jamaica, have been placed under a fourteen (14) day quarantine.

The decision to lockdown parts of the aforementioned areas were based on thirteen (13) new positive covid-19 cases of persons who have been in close contact with several people within the region.

Canadian Music Week 2020 Now Cancelled! (@CMW_Week)

After initially rescheduling from May to September in the early weeks of the COVID-19 crisis, Canadian Music Week 2020 is now officially cancelled. CMW CEO Danya Dixon emailed conference and festival attendees last night, May 4th, to confirm the news.

All ticketed concerts have been refunded or are in the process of being refunded, according to CMW.
