New Reggae Release From Kabaka Pyramid “Trample Dem” (@Kabakapyramid)

Trample Dem” is the latest release from reggae lyricist Kabaka Pyramid. This is an important record because it deals with something that most of society view with great abhorrence; pedophilia.

The song, which is now available on all music platforms, comes to us by way of both Bebble Rock Music and Ghetto Youths International.

Agent Sasco & Barrington Levy Are Among The Confirmed Artists For ‘Reggae Sunsplash’ (@AgentSasco @MrLevy411)

In a recent article, Maria Jackson Magazine reported that Jamaica’s iconic music festival, Reggae Sunsplash, will be returning on November 27th and 28th. It goes without saying that due to the covid19 pandemic the event will be presented in a virtual format.

In the forementioned story we were not able to announce a lineup because none was not yet made public. That being said, it has now been brought to our attention that Agent Sasco and Barrington Levy are two of the confirmed acts for the show. Sasco will perform on night 2, which is presumably the dancehall night, while Levy will be on night 1, reggae night.

We will continue to share more updates as they become available to us.

“Stand With The Protesters” Remix Is Out Now! (@EgDaGovenaw @RASXTR3ME)

On Friday, November 13th, E.G. and his team released the remix to his summer hit, “Stand With The Protesters.” For the new version he invited fast rising Jamaican reggae artist Ras Xtr3me, as well as hip-hop lyricists Mr. AMG and J Shadda to join him.

Much like the original, the remix is all about the ongoing struggle for racial equality, not just in the United States of America, but all over the world. This year we have seen a lot of people – of all races and backgrounds – take to the streets to protest what is clearly a systematic bias and prejudice against people of color; particularly black people.

The remix of “Stand With The Protesters” is four times as powerful and is expected to have an even bigger impact than the original. All the artists featured on this record delivered strong verses as they lament on this issue from their unique perspective.

Peetah Sancho’s New Single “I&I” Is Simply A Blessing

With literally hundreds of new reggae songs being released on a daily basis, new music in this and frankly any other genre, have to be really good in order to stand out and get enough attention so as to propel it to the next level. The brand new single from reggae recording artist Peetah Sancho is one such song.

I&I” is a roots reggae track that was inspired by several thoughts Sancho had: 1) that of unity among the elders and there responsibilities towards the younger generation. 2) The system of inequality that leads to oppression of our youths. And 3) the overall inability to progress in society.

On the record Peetah Sancho asks a series of questions, such as: “who is going to help me teach the youths dem reality?Who is going to help me tell them bout his majesty?Who is going to help me build back black supremacy?” The song is dulcet, melodious, sonorous and simply a blessing.

When an incredible work is created usually all credits are given to the person or persons at the forefront, but we must acknowledge and highlight the musicians that aided in the production of this beautiful song: Danny Miller (bass), Nami Harmon (sax), Andy Bassford (guitar) and Meds (drums). “I&I” was voiced at Jaamazima Studio and was later revisited and over dubbed at Bulwakie’s.

When asked what he would like listeners to take away from such a powerful song, Peetah Sancho said the following: “What I would want from the listeners is just to give an ear to the words that I’m saying.
