Jon B Has Back-To-Back Dates At Blue Note Hawaii On Jan. 5th & 6th

90s RnB star Jon B – who commanded our attention with his 1995 platinum debut album, Bonafide – is confirmed for four shows at Blue Note in Honolulu, Hawaii, on January 5th and 6th. He’s got two sets on each day; the first starting at 5pm and the second at 8:30pm.

Mary J. Blige To Host New Talk Show On BET “The Wine Down” (@maryjblige)

MJB‘s Blue Butterfly production company has inked a deal with BET that will see the queen of hip-hop and R&B hosting a talk show. The program will be called The Wine Down, and it will feature Mary in conversation with various entertainers, professional athletes, public figures etc. over wine.

There will be some cross promotion, as MJB will use the opportunity to highlight her wine brand: Sun Goddess. Sun Goddess is a collaborative label by and between Mary J. Blige and Italian winemaker Marco Fantinel.

The Weeknd Named 2022 Recipient of the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award

Canadian Music Week has announced that Abel “The Weeknd’ Tesfaye has received the 2022 CMW Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award in recognition of his longstanding commitment to charitable initiatives.

The CMW Allan Slaight Humanitarian Award is presented to a Canadian artist, duo or group, in recognition of their social activism and benevolent support of humanitarian interests and causes. As recipient of this Award, The Slaight Family Foundation will make a donation of $50,000 towards a charity of Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye choosing.

Goapele Has Back-To-Back Shows In Napa This Weekend (@Goapele)

American soul and R&B singer-songwriter Goapele, who is also recognized for her human rights work, will be doing four shows at Blue Note – 1030 Main Street – in Napa, California this weekend.

She is scheduled to do two sets on Saturday, one at 6:30pm and the other at 9pm. And again on Sunday; one at 3pm and the other at 6:30pm. Tickets and additional information are available on Blue Note’s website.

The Commodores Have Consecutive Shows At Blue Note Hawaii This Week

One of the greatest Motown and R&B/funk groups of all time, The Commodores, will be doing back-to-back shows at Blue Note – 2335 Kalakaua Avenue – in Honolulu, Hawaii this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Starting time is 6pm, while showtime is 8pm each night.

The Commodores was formed in 1968 and went on to sell over 60 million records for Motown after being discovered by Berry Gordy. With hits like “Machine Gun” and “Sail On,” they became proven artists and have remained a force in the music industry. Get tickets here.
