Davido’s ‘We Rise By Lifting Others Tour’ Kicks Off In Brooklyn On June 16

Nigerian pop star Davido will be kicking off his ‘We Rise By Lifting Others Tour’ on Thursday, June 16 at Lena Horne Bandshell – 9th Street & Prospect Park West – in Brooklyn, New York. This is a ticketed benefit concert to support BRIC’s free programming.

The tour will continue on June 16th at HISTORY in Toronto, then on the 17th at Boston’s House of Blues. On the 23rd he will head to Chicago at the Aragon Ballroom, before wrapping up on the 25th at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.

Digable Planets Has Back-To-Back Dates At The Lodge Room This Month (@digableplanets)

Digable Planets, the trio known for their significant contribution to both jazz-rap and alternative hip-hop, will be playing at the Lodge Room on Tuesday, June 28th and Wednesday, June 29th.

On Tuesday they have two shows: one at 8pm and a later set at 11pm. The earlier show is already sold out, with tickets going fast for the others. The independent live music venue – Lodge Room – is located at 104 North Avenue 56 2nd floor, in Los Angeles, California.

D-Nice‘s Club Quarantine Tour will stop in Los Angeles at the Crypto dotcom arena on Saturday, June 25th. This edition will feature a mix of hip-hop, RnB, gospel, pop and Caribbean music.

Celebrate Juneteenth With Anthony Hamilton, The Roots & Other Black Celebrities

Live Nation Urban, in collaboration with LA Phil, present Juneteenth – A Global Celebration for Freedom. The festivities will take place on Sunday, June 19th at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.

Juneteenth is the observation of the end of slavery in the United States and as such, the event will feature several top-tier black entertainers. Anthony Hamilton, Earth, Wind & Fire, Michelle Williams, The Roots, Robert Glasper and Killer Mike are just some of the public figures that will be in attendance.

The show will broadcast exclusively on all CNN platforms, starting at 8pm ET. That said, persons planning to be at the event can get tickets directly from Hollywood Bowl’s website.

Jazmine Sullivan & Ari Lennox Will Join Summer Walker’s “A Hot Summer Night In LA” Concert

Scheduled for June 24th at Crypto dotcom Arena in Los Angeles, California, A Hot Summer Night In LA concert, which is curated by Summer Walker, will feature Ari Lennox, Saucy Santana, Joyce Wrice, Doechi, Alex Vaughn and special guest Jazmine Sullivan. The DJ will be Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta‘s Ché Mack.

KRS-One Will Be At Bushwick Collective’s Block Party This Weekend

The Bushwick Collective Block Party – now in it’s 11th year – is an annual art event that brings together graffiti, street-art, music, food trucks and local vendors to showcase the best of the community.

This year they have invited KRS-One to join in the festivities. He will be doing a set, with support from DJ Evil Dee and host D-Stroy. Bushwick Collective Block Party will run from 10am to 6pm on June 4th at 15 Scott Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. It is absolutely free for everyone.
