On July 20th, hip-hop artist J. Cole penned what can be described as a mini autobiography, dubbed “The Audacity” The writing, which gives a honest, detailed look at the life of the artist (with an emphasis on his career), was published on The Players’ Tribune website.

Next Wednesday, July 22nd, hip-hop artists DMX and Snoop Dogg will be featured on the Verzuz Song Competition.  It goes without saying that this is a highly anticipated matchup because both men have countless hit songs under their belt.

Yesterday hip-hop artist Talib Kweli announced that he will be releasing new content exclusively via Patreon. According to Google, this is a membership platform based in the United States that allows creators and artists to earn a monthly income by providing exclusive rewards and perks to their subscribers, or “patrons.”

Kweli said that he is the first major artist to launch an album release via Patreon. The album, which is titled “Cultural Currency,” will not be available for several months, but by joining Talib‘s Patreon page today his supporters will gain access to brand new music, a new episode of Vibrate Higher TV and more.
