Reach Records Ends Relationship With GAWVI

Earlier today – January 31 – Reach Records officially ended their professional relationship with Christian hip-hop artist GAWVI. The decision was made after it became public that GAWVI sent inappropriate pictures to several women while married. See full statement from Reach Records below.

Due to behavior that is inconsistent with our core values we have ended our professional relationship with GAWVI.

This was a tough decision for us because of the level of complexity and because we invest in our artists not just for their talent, but also as brothers and sisters in Christ. This is something we have been processing for over a year and have wrestled with what would be the right way forward. New details that have been provided to us made us realize today’s decision was necessary. We also want our actions to be a reflection of love, care and concern for those who fail and those who are affected by our failures.

Each of us needs God’s grace and we invite you to pray for the families and individuals whose lives are being impacted. This is not a chance to throw anybody away. We continue to hope for restoration to be the outcome.

Fugees Reunion Tour Has Been Officially Canceled!

When it was announced last Fall, Fugees Reunion Tour tickets quickly became the most desired item for music lovers regardless of genre. Initially it was scheduled to run through the months of November and December in 2021, but that was later pushed back to 2022.

Now we are all learning that the tour has been officially canceled. The news came on Friday, January 21st via Lauryn Hill’s social media platforms. She shared the following statement.

“We anticipate and understand disappointment but our anniversary tour will not be able to happen. The continued Covid pandemic has made touring conditions difficult, and we want to make sure we keep our fans and ourselves healthy and safe. An idea sparked to honor and celebrate this 25th anniversary of ‘The Score’ but we see now it may not currently be our time for revisiting this past work. We’re grateful for the special night we did get to share with some of you in New York, with that rare live moment. If opportunity, public safety, and scheduling allow, we hope to be able to revisit this again sometime soon. Thank you for all of your love and support throughout the years.”
