Lauryn Hill Added To The Preakness Live Culinary, Art & Music Festival

Ms Lauryn Hill has been added as a special guest on this year’s Preakness Live Culinary, Art & Music Festival. Scheduled for May 20th, the event which is curated by Kevin Liles will also feature performances from D-Nice, Brittney Spencer, Morgan State University Marching Band and more.

The culinary skills of Marcus Samuelsson, Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons will be on display; while the arts will be presented by Derrick Adams and The Last Resort Art Garden. Big Boi Addresses Mental Health As He Preps For The Sound Mind Music Festival

Hip-Hop artist Big Boi, who is one half of the famed rap group OutKast, has been added to the fourth annual Sound Mind Music Festival for Mental Health.

The live outdoor event will be held at New York City’s Central Park on May 21 at 4pm. In addition to Big Boi, the show will also feature performances by Cold War Kids, American Authors, KAMAUU, Wrabel and Allison Russell; with host comedian Gina Brillon. The event will – for the first time – stream live on TikTok.

Mental health has always been an issue that I’ve recognized,” Big Boi says. “I’m hyped to be a part of an event that bridges the gap between music and raising awareness of how we can improve support systems.

Veteran MC Rakim will host Black Market Certified 4/20‘s launch party at SOB’s – 204 Varick Street – in New York on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, starting at 7:00PM.
