On June 14th, Common released a new single titled HER Love. Via his social sites he explained the meaning of the song and why he decided to do it. He wrote the following:

“Today I’m releasing my first single, HER Love, and it’s about my love for Hip Hop and how much the culture has given me. How much this art form means to me and how I appreciate what the new artists are doing. I was blessed to have a J.Dilla beat to write this song to and it was a beautiful fit for what I wanted to say. I asked Daniel Ceasar to sing the hook and we asked special guest Dwele to do his thing as It was only right to have my brother from Detroit rock on a Dilla track. I am just grateful to be putting this song out and to the culture and art form that changed my life. Love.”

Iconic rapper, Nas, will perform at the Accesso Showare Center on Saturday August 17th, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his legendary album Illmatic. Recognized by Rolling Stone Magazine as the greatest hip-hop album of all time, Illmatic sets the tone for the greatest era in hip-hop history. Along with his songs on Illmatic, Nas will also be performing all of his hits from his 25 year long career.

Nas will be supported by Lupe Fiasco, AZ and Redhead. Show time is 8 PM, and the Accesso Showare Center is located at 625 W James Street in Kent, Washington.

American hip-hop artist, Fabolous, who achieved commercial success in the early 2000’s, will be performing at the popular Bliss Night Club (located at 2122 24th Place NE) in Washington, DC on Saturday, July 20th.

GRAMMY-winning artist Anderson .Paak‘s Best Teef In The Game Tour will be making a stop at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (99 Grove Street) in San Francisco, California on Thursday, June 27th. He will receive support from both Thundercat and Earl Sweatshirt.

Following the show, Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals will be heading over to August Hall (420 Mason Street) for the official after party, which will kick off at 10 PM.

On Thursday, July 11th, hip-hop artist, Yasiin Bey, will be wrapping up his Ecstatic 10th Anniversary Tour with a huge show at the Verti Music Hall (Mercedes Platz, 10243) in Berlin, Germany. As this is the final performance on the tour, he will be joined by the legendary Roots Crew.
