Spirit Of Praise 2024

It’s that time of year again! Praise 104.1 FM and WYCB Spirit 1340 AM, in collaboration with Wells Fargo, are gearing up for the 16th edition of Spirit of Praise. It will be held at the Reid Temple A.M.E. Church (11400 Glenn Dale Blvd.) in Glenn Dale, Maryland, on Saturday, October 12th.

The Bust A Faith Move Conference

“ChoirFest” With Hezekiah Walker, The Official Dove Award Edition

Hezekiah Walker will be doing a Dove Award edition of his ChoirFest on Saturday, September 29th, at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church (19 Hart Street) in Nashville, Tennessee. Walker‘s ChoirFest is an annual event at which singers, musicians, choirs, and churches, local and national, gather for what is arguably one of the biggest choir showcases in the U.S.

The Dove Award Edition will feature Nate Bean & 4Given, Pastor Frank Stevenson & Voices of Grace, Kevin Davidson & The Voices, Darrel Petties & Strength in Praise, Cory Stewart & Authentically Anointed, Arthur & Friends Community Choir, and Lady Tiunna & Kevin Lemons High Calling.

Premier Gospel Awards 2024

Powered by Compassion UK, the 2024 Premier Gospel Awards will be presented on Saturday, September 21st at the Royal Festival Hall (Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road) in London, United Kingdom. It will start at 7:00 p.m. local time, and is expected to run for approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.

This year’s hosts are David Gyasi, Cassandra Maria, and Ibe Giantkiller. And some of the acts that will be at the event are Victory Boyd, Rebecca Linton, Minister Taf, Kemi, Melodees of Heaven, and Clive Brown & Urban Sounds. Get additional information here.

BroGee Annual White Affair Returns On Sept. 27th

Radio personality and public figure Richard Gordon, more popularly known as BroGee, will resume the presentation of his annual White Affair and Birthday Celebration on Friday, September 27th, 2024. It will be held at the Woodbine Banquet & Convention Hall (30 Vice Regent Boulevard) in Toronto, Ontario.

This will be an evening filled with the best Caribbean gospel, jazz, inspirational, classical, and soul music. There will be performances by Donnette Thompson Hall, 2nd Chance, and Latoya HD. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.

The Sterling Gospel Music Awards – Jamaica

The 2024 staging of Jamaica’s Sterling Gospel Music Awards is set for Saturday, October 5th, at Emmanuel Apostolic Church (12 Slipe Road) in Kingston. It’s scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m. with a red carpet entrance and will end at 10:00 p.m. local time. 

Confirmed presenters are Sherwin Gardner, Junior Tucker, Jodian Pantry, Genesis Praise Squad, Audia Spencer-Brown, and Gilead Collective. Early bird tickets are currently going for J$5000; it will be J$6000 at the gate.
