Sarasota, Florida, is preparing to welcome a wave of reggae unity as the United for Relief concert takes over the Sarasota Fairgrounds on December 13 and 14, 2025. The objective of this two-day event is to raise funds in support of relief efforts in Jamaica following the destruction caused by Hurricane Melissa.

A powerful lineup of reggae and Caribbean stars will unite for the Jamaica Strong Benefit Concert, happening on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York. The event will raise funds in support of Jamaica’s official Hurricane Relief Fund following the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa.

Presented by Jamaica Strong NY Inc. in collaboration with Jammins Entertainment, Irie Jam Foundation, and RoadBlock Radio, the benefit concert has received full endorsement from Jamaica’s Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport. One Nation Reggae Festival to Feature Sizzla Kalonji and Christopher Martin as Headliners

The One Nation Reggae Festival, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs of Sierra Leone, will be held from the 25th of November to the 30th, 2025, in Freetown. Under the theme “Shared Roots, Shared Rhythm — One Love, One Vibe”, the festival seeks to celebrate the historic and cultural links between Africa and the Caribbean, drawing on reggae’s universal message of peace, freedom and unity.

Headline international performers confirmed include Sizzla Kalonji and Christopher Martin, with additional notable appearances by Didier Awadi and Queen Ifrica.

Beyond performances, the festival will feature workshops and dialogues on music production, creative entrepreneurship and the role of culture in sustainable development. Attendees will also be invited to explore a fashion and food fair, craft markets and curated cultural exhibitions that reflect Sierra Leone’s creative industries.

Minister Grange Announces Global ‘I Love Jamaica’ Concert Series to Aid Hurricane Recovery

The Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the Honourable Olivia Grange, has announced a series of fundraising concerts to support Jamaica’s recovery efforts following the devastating passage of Hurricane Melissa. The initiative, titled “I Love Jamaica,” will include five major concerts to be held locally and internationally, featuring some of the island’s finest reggae artists and musicians, along with international friends of Jamaica. All proceeds from the events will go directly toward the national recovery program.

The first event in the series is scheduled for November 14, 2025, at the National Stadium Car Park in Kingston, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Additional concerts are being planned for London, New York, Toronto, and South Florida.

Beyond fundraising, the I Love Jamaica concert series forms part of a wider initiative led by the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport to restore morale, uplift the national spirit, and encourage volunteerism during the recovery period. The Ministry is collaborating closely with the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, and other government and private-sector partners to coordinate relief efforts and mobilize volunteers.

The Stars Align for “Legends Are Forever” at Summerfield Community Centre

The fire will blaze high in Clarendon on Saturday, November 29, 2025, when reggae icon Capleton leads an all-star lineup for the “Legends Are Forever” Conscious Birthday Celebration. The event, held in association with White Tail, Aesha, Cuta, Staford, and Sanches, will be a star-studded stage show and dance.

Performing alongside Capleton will be an impressive roster of reggae and dancehall legends, including Tony Rebel, Admiral Tibet, Lutan Fyah, Junior Reid, Junior Cat, Errol Dunkley, Little John, Nitty Kutchie, Mikey General, Peter Metro, Lucan I, Leego, Natty King, Vania Colours, April May, Military Man, Jah Thunder, and Initial T. Music will be provided by Stone Love, while Little Richie from Rich Squad will also make a special appearance.

The celebration takes place at the Summerfield Community Centre and includes a cookout and kids fun day featuring 6-a-side football from 10 AM to 4 PM, with gates closing at 4 PM. Admission is $3,000 for regular entrance and $5,000 for VIP.
