Shreveport Gears Up for the 2026 New Year’s Gospel Celebration

Shreveport will host the 2026 New Year’s Gospel Celebration, an annual and highly anticipated event that brings gospel music lovers together for a powerful night of worship and musical excellence as they begin the New Year.

Hosted by KOKA, Your #1 Gospel Station, in partnership with the Baptist Ministers Fellowship, the 2026 celebration will take place on Monday, January 26, at Morning Star Baptist Church, located at 5340 Jewella Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., followed by a pre-show at 6:00 p.m., with the main concert beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m.

This year’s lineup features an exceptional roster of gospel talent, headlined by legendary gospel icon Pastor John P. Kee. City Winery Chicago presents Dru Hill: Tell Me It’s New Year’s Eve! The iconic R&B group will take over the venue for a special two-night engagement, delivering their beautiful harmonies and countless hits to fans ready to celebrate the holiday in style.

The New Year’s Eve festivities kick off on Wednesday, December 31, with two showtimes scheduled for 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM, giving audiences the perfect soundtrack to welcome the new year. The New Year’s Eve celebration will unfold from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., with a night of roots reggae and authentic Jamaican vibes, headlined by one of the genre’s most revered artists.

Faith City will ring in the New Year with a night of worship at its annual New Year’s Eve service on December 31. Led by Apostle Mike Freeman and Dr. Deedee Freeman, the event will take place at the Showplace Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, with doors opening at 9:15 p.m. and the service beginning promptly at 10:00 p.m.

The night will feature special musical ministry from gospel power couple David and Tamela Mann, alongside Faith City Music and acclaimed worship artist Jonathan McReynolds.
