Catch A Fire: The Old School Reggae Explosion returns to Bermuda’s dancehall scene on Saturday, May 30th, 2026. Presented by One Love Promotions, this year’s staging goes beyond a typical party format. It marks the 50th anniversary celebration of sound system culture—an institution that has shaped reggae and dancehall globally, from its Jamaican origins to international dominance.

Headlining the event are Junior Cat and Tippa Irie, both known for their unquestionable contributions to the genre. The sound system lineup is equally formidable. UK-based legends Saxon Sound System will bring their signature style, complemented by Jamaica’s powerhouse Metromedia Sound System, widely respected for its dominance in clashes and parties alike. Representing the home front is Bermuda’s own Souljah 1, adding a local edge to the lineup.

The event will be held at CedarBridge Academy (North Courtyard), running from 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM. Multiple ticket tiers are available, including Early Bird, General Admission, and a premium VIP package offering perks such as private parking, exclusive entry, complimentary drinks, food, and party favors.
