Lady G Joins Susana Baca, Luedji Luna and Others for Free Afro-Latinas Concert in Central Park

New York’s SummerStage will host the Afro-Latinas Concert on July 26 in Central Park, bringing together a powerhouse lineup of Afro-Latina artists for a free show. Doors open at 5 PM.

The concert is presented as part of Festival Latinidades and the Afro-Latino Festival NYC 2026, in partnership with SummerStage’s 40th anniversary season and Capital One’s CityParks Foundation.

The lineup features Susana Baca, the celebrated Peruvian singer and former Minister of Culture who remains a leading voice in Afro-Peruvian music, alongside Luedji Luna featuring Liniker, bringing contemporary Afro-Brazilian sound and soul to the stage. Also performing are Mai-Elka Prado Gil featuring Lush Song Collective, and Lady G, a pioneering dancehall and reggae deejay from Jamaica, with DJ Agent DMZ closing out the night to keep the celebration going.

Reggae legend Beres Hammond joins forces with Trinidad and Tobago’s internationally acclaimed Kes The Band for Love & Reggae at Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia, on Sunday, August 16, 2026. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:00 p.m.

Renowned for his timeless catalogue of lovers rock and reggae classics, Beres Hammond continues to captivate audiences around the world with his musical stories. Sharing the stage is Kes The Band, one of the Caribbean’s premier live acts.

Mikey General Embarks on UK and European Tour This Summer

Internationally acclaimed reggae singer Mikey General is reconnecting with fans across the United Kingdom and Europe this summer as he embarks on a series of live performances in support of his recently released album “Medhane Alem,” as well as the singles that followed.

The tour will see the veteran Jamaican recording artist perform at several festivals and special events, one of which was the July 18 HI HO Music Festival in Capannori, Lucca, Italy. The free-admission event featured Mikey General performing alongside DJ Afghan and Joker Sound.

On July 26, Mikey General heads to the United Kingdom to headline the Two Step Forward 3rd Anniversary Dance, where he is scheduled to perform alongside fellow Jamaican artist Blackout JA. The appearance forms part of the celebrated UK roots reggae dance circuit and highlights the continued demand for Mikey General‘s uplifting, conscious music.

The tour continues on August 7 with an appearance at Reggae Collective in Reading, England. Hosted at the CultureMix Arts & Music Centre, the event celebrates the longstanding partnership between CultureMix Arts and Reality Shock while bringing together artists, selectors, and reggae enthusiasts for an evening dedicated to the culture and legacy of reggae music.

Mikey General will conclude this leg of the tour on August 22 at Roots in the Woods Festival in Pohorje, Slovenia, where he joins an international lineup of reggae artists at one of the region’s premier roots reggae festivals.

Etana to Headline Jamaica Fest 2026 in the DMV

Grammy-nominated reggae singer Etana is set to headline Jamaica Fest 2026, a celebration of Jamaican culture taking place on Sunday, August 9, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Presented by the Embassy of Jamaica in association with Right Now for Jamaica, Inc., the family-friendly festival will showcase the spirit of Jamaica through live music, cuisine, arts and crafts, cultural displays, and activities for all ages. Organizers say the event aims to unite the Jamaican diaspora and friends of the island from across the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.
