Rub-A-Dub Sundays with Echo Minott and Jahnny Minott

Veteran reggae artist Echo Minott is booked for Denmark’s popular roots party, Rub-A-Dub Sundays. He is scheduled to perform on Sunday, October 27th, and will be joined by his equally talented son Jahnny Minott.

Rub-A-Dub Sundays are held at H15 Lounge (Halmtorvet 15 Grå Kødby 1700) in Copenhagen, Denmark; admission is 150 Kr.

Empress Pro Foundation Presents Pressure Busspipe In South Africa

African reggae artist Empress Pro, by way of her foundation with the same name, will host U.S. Virgin Islander Pressure Busspipe in South Africa on Saturday, September 28th. The occasion is a benefit concert that will hopefully raise funds to help local communities through various initiatives: education, empowerment, and economic development.

It will be presented at the Enos Mafokate Equestrian Club in Soweto, and in addition to Pressure Busspipe will also feature a slew of local acts. General admission tickets are R50, while VIP is R200. Glen Washington Performs In Nairobi Next Month

Shashamane International and M.S.S.C., in partnership with Standard Media Group, present The Africa Bound Reggae Summer Fest 2024. Scheduled for Saturday, October 19, this event will be staged at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (K.I.C.C.) in Nairobi, Kenya.

Veteran reggae artist Glen Washington will headline the show with support from the State of Emergency Band. It will be hosted by Q-tee Lady Njosh from Radio Citizen. Tickets can be purchased on tikiti.co.ke.

Jah Mason Will Perform In Serbia For The First Time On Sept. 26, 2024

This Thursday, September 26th, Jah Mason, also known as Fire Mason, will be giving his debut performance in the Republic of Serbia. He will do an individual set as well as a joint segment with his longtime friend and musical colleague Hornsman Coyote.

The show will be at Zappa Baza (Bulevar Vojvode Bojovica 30a) in Belgrade, the capital of the southeast European country. Entrance fee is 2,400 RSD, and it’s scheduled to start at 21:00 local time.

Mesha Steele Will Perform At The Embassy of Belize Independence Day Celebration This Friday

Belizean recording artist Mesha Steele has been invited to perform at this year’s Embassy of Belize Independence Day Celebration on Friday, September 20. This is an invitation-only event that will be held in the Hall of the Americas in Washington, D.C. Although she is constantly on the road doing back-to-back shows, Mesha considers the forthcoming affair extra special because it’s an opportunity to perform for her native country, Belize. 

Steele was born in Belize into a family of singers, musicians, and fashion designers. Her music career officially began when she, along with her two older sisters, formed a group known as the (McGregorM GIRLZ. The ensemble became the toast of her homeland and was voted the best vocal group in the country. Mesha eventually went solo after her sisters decided to step away from music to take on more traditional roles. 

The Embassy of Belize Independence Day Celebration is being presented by the Organization of American States. In addition to the live performances, there will also be speeches and presentations, all aimed at highlighting and honoring Belizean people, culture, and lifestyle.

Black Uhuru Will Perform At The Barrymore Theatre In Madison, Wisconsin On Sept. 25th

The fifty-plus-year reggae band Black Uhuru will be doing a live set at The Barrymore Theatre (2094 Atwood Avenue) in Madison, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, starting at 7:30 p.m.

This event is being presented by Beesting Productions, LLC, a company that specializes in live concerts and event production throughout the Midwest, U.S. General admission tickets, which are now available for US$30.00, can be purchased on the venue’s website.

Menny More Joins Busy Signal, Jah Cure & Others On The “Natural Vibes Riddim”

International sing-jay Menny More, who started out solely as a deejay but upon advice from the great Dennis Brown began incorporating singing into his repertoire, has just added a new single to the previously released Natural Vibes Riddim. His song, Baby It’s You, which is a lovers-rock reggae tune fused with rap, went live on streaming platforms on August 2nd, 2024. 

The Natural Vibes Riddim was first shared on February 9th of this year. Initially it featured Busy Signal, Jah Cure, Turbulence, Pressure Busspipe, Powerman, Lutan Fyah, Kurtiouss, Jay Shephard, Rufftop Rock I, and Ginjah. However, Kenyan singer, songwriter, and recording artist Cathy Matete and Jamaican vocalist Dreama were subsequently added to the compilation. Dreama‘s song, dubbed Ghetto Heaven, came out on February 27th, while Cathy Matete‘s Miles Away was shared on March 15. 

With the addition of Menny MoreReggae Vibes Music, the label that’s responsible for the Natural Vibes Riddim, has decided to re-release the entire project. That said, all the previously mentioned artists and their respective tracks can be streamed and downloaded from Apple Music, iTunes, Deezer, Spotify, Amazon, Tidal, Pandora, etc.
