This Saturday, May 23rd, starting at 8:00 PM EST, iconic dancehall artists Beenie Man and Bounty Killer will go head to head in the ‘Verzuz‘ music battle.
Like all other media houses, Maria Jackson Magazine has been captivated by this new ‘Verzuz‘ song competition since it was initiated by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland several weeks ago. To date they have featured mega stars: Teddy Riley, Babyface, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott (R&B), Nelly and Ludacris (hip-hop).
On May 18th, one of Jamaica’s most underrated musical talent, Dre Island, published the official video for “Still Remain.” The song is one of thirteen (13) featured on his soon to be released album “Now I Rise.”
Though the full project is not schedule to be out until May 29th, it is currently available for pre-order via iTunes, Spotify and Deezer.

Earlier today recording artist Capleton announced that he will be performing live this Saturday, May 23rd, starting at 6:00 PM EST. The concert will stream in real-time on his website capletonmusic dot com.
In order to watch the show persons are being asked to pay $4.99 USD, part of which will go towards charity. This performance is being presented by both Capleton Music and 360 Global Entertainment.
Our digital music station, Maria Jackson Radio, has been offline for the past week and a half. The reason for this is that we are currently working on switching hosting company so that we will have more control over the way our content is presented.
We have received several concerns from our loyal listeners, so much so that it became necessary to release an official press release on the matter.

From Friday, May 22nd, to Sunday, May 24th, BBC will be hosting the 2020 Big Weekend festival online. They are promising that this will be one of the biggest digital concerts, with confirmed appearances by the likes of Nas, Coldplay, Koffee, Sean Paul, Stormzy, Rihanna and many more top-tier artists.
