On July 23rd Trensettahs Sound System will release the highly anticipated Abyssinia Riddim. The project will feature music from: Capleton, Sydney Salmon, Rootz Underground, Pamfalon, Dejazmatch Kwasi, Jah Thundah, Kwanza and Jahnice.

New Dancehall Release: Teflon – Bricks

As he has been doing since the start of the year, dancehall artist Teflon kicked off the month of July with a new single, accompanied by the song’s official video. The track is titled Bricks and it’s on the Ski Topper Records label.

Jahmiel Shares Video For His Song On The “Bitcoin Riddim”

Yesterday (Friday, July 2nd) Sweet Music released the Bitcoin Riddim, a sixteen-track dancehall compilation which features Jahmiel, Christopher Martin, Gyptian, Bugle, Singing Sweet and several others.

Tasha Cobbs Leonard Confirmed For CNN’s 4th Of July Celebration (@tashacobbs)

CNN’s “Fourth in America Special” will air on Sunday, July 4th starting at 7PM ET. It will be hosted by some of the network’s anchors: Dana Bash, Don Lemon, Victor Blackwell and Ana Cabrera.

Viewers will be treated to musical performances from: Tasha Cobbs Leonard, The Harlem Gospel Choir, The Beach Boys with John Stamos, Bebe Rexha, Billy Ray Cyrus, Black Eyed Peas, Blues Traveler, Brad Paisley, Chicago, Flo Rida, Foreigner, Kool & the Gang, Nelly, Ne-Yo, REO Speedwagon, Sammy Hagar & The Circle, Susanna Hoffs, Trisha Yearwood, and that is just to name a few.

After his recent single “Choices” surpassed one million streams last month, Cellus Hamilton has not been letting off the gas. He recently announced that his first child is due in September and then immediately decided that he would like to tour before switching into dad mode. And after a full year of lockdown in a global pandemic, we are ALL in need of some good music. 

The In Your Face Tour is coming to a city near you and will be featuring some of the best hip-hop artists from each city. Boasting names such as Brittney CarterCruddy Murda, & SchlishCellus Hamilton has already shown that this tour will be full of hip-hop’s newest stars. Hamilton has been performing since he was eight years old and has shared the stage with John LegendPatti LaBelleChris Brown, and many others. As an artist who has been a supporting act for many tours, Cellus Hamilton is finally shining as he sets out to headline his own.

Popular Radio Personality Richie B Resigns From The Edge 105FM

Though I cannot put my fingers on it, it is clear that something is happening in Jamaica’s broadcasting industry. A few days ago we heard about a new radio station coming to the island this month, The Bridge 99FM. Shortly after that we learned that popular radio host Ron Muchette would be joining the new network.

Now we are getting confirmation, directly from Richard Burgess aka Richie B, that he is leaving The Edge 105FM. In his own words Richie said the following: “My decision to leave THE EDGE would have to be regarded as one of the toughest I’ve had to make but, in the end, I am ready to grow and to take on new challenges…to fulfill some unattained goals on my bucklist..”

Tarrus Riley Gives Giveon’s “Heartbreak Anniversary” A Reggae Remix (@tarrusrileyja)

International reggae recording artist Tarrus Riley has just upgraded R&B singer Giveon‘s hit single, Heartbreak Anniversary, by giving it a reggae remix. Released on Thursday, July 1st, the reggae version of Heartbreak Anniversary was produced by Kareem Burrell and Dean Fraser for XTM Nation.
