TVJ has just announced that their gospel program Higher Praise will be returning this Sunday, September 5th, with performances by Rhoda Isabella, Lee ‘Priest’ Johnson & Leony White. The event is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM local time.

Dancehall Artist Peppery Collaborates With Australian Label On “Vibe Machine” (@pepperyworld)

At the end of July, Raw Tactics Records, an Australian based musical imprint that’s focused on electronic dance music, released Vibe Machine. The song, which was initially shared to help listeners get through the lockdowns that were in effect at the time, is now getting heavy rotation in areas where restrictions have since eased.

Vibe Machine is produced by popular DJs / producers Tigs and Dubzta, with dancehall artist Peppery delivering the vocals. Persons have described the tune as a modern house track fused with Caribbean sounds. On the beat, Peppery who is the quintessential lyricist lamented on his desire to party, while encouraging women of all races to join him. The song was mastered by Klaus Heavyweight Hill (Australia) and the vocals were processed by Zemon.

Never being one to rest, Peppery is now focused on his next project, which is the Restart Riddim being produced by Jamaican label Blakkwuman22 Music. He is currently writing for the compilation that is slated to be released this Fall.

Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer Belly just released his studio album, See You Next Wednesday. The fifteen-track album, which is on the Roc Nation label, features collaborations with: The Weeknd, Young Thug, Moneybagg Yo, Nas, Lil Uzi Vert, Big Sean, and Benny The Butcher.

Jamaica’s Covid-19 Restrictions Extended For Another Two Weeks

Please see below a statement made by Andrew Holness, the Prime Minister of Jamaica, in a press briefing held earlier this evening (Sept. 1).

“The existing no-movement days will be continued for another two weeks. Therefore, there will be six no-movement days:
Sunday, September 5th
Monday, September 6th
Tuesday, September 7th
Sunday, September 12th
Monday, September 13th
Tuesday, September 14th

The normal curfew hours will be 7 PM nightly until 5 AM the following morning on Wednesdays to Fridays; and 6 PM on Saturdays.

To allow persons to prepare for the three consecutive no-movement days, on Friday, September 3rd and Friday, September 10th, 2021, workplaces / businesses will be required to close at midday. The list of workplaces / businesses which will not have to close at midday remains the same as the last two weeks of no-movement days.”

The Skatalites Will Be Back At Moe’s Alley On Sept. 26

Veteran reggae band, The Skatalites, is among the list of confirmed acts slated to perform at Moe’s Alley in September. They are booked for Sunday, the 26th, with a starting time of 7PM. Moe’s Alley is located at 1535 Commercial Way in Santa Cruz, California.
