Problem Child, Patrice Roberts, Ricardo Drue & More For “Endless Jam Miami Carnival”

After the 2022 Miami Carnival ends on Sunday, October 9th, the official after party – dubbed Endless Jam Miami Carnival – will begin!

Starting at 8pm on the night of the 9th to 3am the following day, soca lovers will be treated to live performances by Problem Child, Patrice Roberts, Ravi B, Ricardo Drue, Taller Dan, and that is just to name a few. In addition to the stage-show, some of the best Caribbean selectors will also be spinning all the trending soca tunes.

Location is: 590 NW 23rd Street in Miami, Florida. Tickets, which are going for $30-$50 USD, are available on eventbrite.

Petra Kaye Headlines “Rebirth” On Oct. 1st

There will be a Rebirth in Dela Vaga City, Spanish Town on Saturday, October 1st at the New Life Community Church International. Petra Kaye, Dwight Fearri, Darrion Kelly and a host of other gospel ministers will be performing.

Starting time is 6:30pm, and there is $1,000 JMD entrance fee for adults; while children under twelve will only pay $300.

KRS-One Will Be At Philly’s Underground Arts On Oct. 20th (@IAmKRSOne)

On Thursday, October 20th, hip-hop legend KRS-One will perform at one of Philly’s long standing live music venues: Underground Arts. The club – in operation for ten plus years – is located at 1200 Callowhill Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The twenty-one and older concert will begin at 8pm local time; and there is an entrance fee of $35 USD. Click here for tickets.

Lyfe Jennings & Vivian Green To Perform At AAMU 2022 Homecoming

Alabama A&M University’s homecoming week kicks off this Saturday, September 24, and will run until October 1st. It will feature a clash between the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs and Bethune Cookman Wildcats; with a number of events and activities all week long.

On the schedule – for Friday, September 30th – is the Alumni Day Party with Lyfe Jennings and Vivian Green. It will be held at the Quad, starting at 4pm. This is a free concert.

Two weeks ago Nigerian singer Joeboy shared the music video for his latest single, Contour. The clip, shot in Ghana by director Awudu “Babs Direction” Musa, finds the singer in character as a jilted lover driven to desperate measures after discovering his partner’s infidelity. 

Contour, which was released on August 19 , reunites Joeboy with Tempoe, the producer of his runaway hit Sip (Alcohol) as well as CKay’s Love Nwantiti, which featured Joeboy on its official remix.

Teflon’s New Album “Tears Of Joy” Out Now On All Platforms

The highly anticipated new album from Teflon, the Young King, is now out on all music platforms. It was released on September 16 via AC Muzyk LLC and Teflon‘s own Yard A Love Records.

The project – titled Tears Of Joy – has a total of twelve tracks and no collaborative features. And while the lyrics, which is steeped in spirituality, accentuates Teflon‘s Rastafarian believes and way of life, the actual music (rhythms/beats) are predominantly reggae.

Kungo (track #1) and In A Ghetto (track #5) have both been given visuals. The video for Kungo was uploaded to Teflon‘s vevo on September 6th, while In A Ghetto was shared last week, on the 16th.
