The Greaves Brothers Add Their Voices To The Popular Jerusalema Rhythm

In 2020 while the world was grappling with the pandemic, South African creator Master KG released the global megahit Jerusalema with Nomcebo Zikode. Since it came out several artists and producers from various countries have added their versions.

The latest camp to put their spin on the Afro-pop beat is My MM Productions. Label CEO Orville Marshall and musician, singer and songwriter Wayne Armond, together shared their interpretation on a new single titled Afrobeat Medley. The track is a collection of popular R&B songs sung by The Greaves Brothers, featuring DJ Mossy Kid: formerly of the Dutty Cup Crew which also included Sean Paul. Officially released on August 31st, the tune is already being praised as one of the best versions on the beat.

The Greaves Brothers (Teddy Jr, Yishka and Gershi ) are sons of Teddy Greaves: legendary bass player and singer who was a member of the Sony Bradshaw Big Band, before going on to form his own Teddy Greaves and the Groovy Guys. In addition to what they learnt from their father, The Brothers kept on honing their skills by working directly with Stevie Wonder after auditioning to become a part of the Happiness Unlimited Band in California. This lasted for approximately five years.
