Have You Seen Ginjah’s Latest Video, “These Arms”? (@GINJAHMUSIC @Tadsrecord)

Earlier in the year, the reggae soul-man Ginjah, in collaboration with Tad’s Record Inc., gave the public a pulsating lovers-rock reggae tune called These Arms. Produced by Kirk Bennett, Wrong Move and Valentine ‘Ginjah’ FraserThese Arms has been a consistent feature on reggae platforms since it was first shared in February.

Approximately one month ago – on August 26th – Tad’s Record released the official video, which was directed, shot and edited by Kenny Gray and his production team in Queens, New York. The simple, yet beautiful visuals show Ginjah pouring out his heart to his love interest while holding her in his arms.

A contented Ginjah sums up the video as follows: “I think it’s a beautiful video, simple and effective. The ladies love it. The feedback is amazing… reggae lovers from all over the world giving it their thumps up.”

He went on to say: “I want to thank Tad’s Record for doing a tremendous job on promoting this piece, because without promotion a song is just a song. Also  want thank Johann Dawes from Hype TV for playing this video night and day…”

These Arms
is available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and all other music platforms.

Chambers Hydro Farm Using Music To Promote Agriculture & Healthy Eating

Former Jamaican Olympian Ricardo Chambers – who is the CEO and owner of Chamber’s Hydro Farm in Spur Tree, Manchester – has been using music and social media to highlight the importance of healthy eating and the advantages of farming.

Throughout the summer he and his team have been sharing short video clips of artists – and in some cases actors – performing songs and skits that promote agriculture and its benefits. All the performances are usually done on the farm and then shared online where they’re reviewed by his followers in real time.

Pleased with the public’s response, Ricardo has decided to take it a step further. He is now partnering with Blakkwuman22 Music to release a song written and produced specifically to bring awareness to the aforementioned. The song, which went live on all streaming platforms on September 27th, is titled Ground Provision and it’s penned and performed by dancehall artist Karamanti

On the record, Karamanti – who is a staunch pescatarian – breaks down her eating habits, and recommends that the listener use food as medication and not just something consumed impulsively.

Marsha Wade Introduces “Soetry”

Jamaica based gospel performer, Marsha Wade, is on a campaign to educate Jamaicans at home and abroad about her preferred form of expression: soetry. This is a unique blend of music and poetry that’s carefully fused together to create what many consider to be a brand new musical genre.

Wade began composing the artform in 2015; and as she has always done, she prayed for guidance and direction while wrestling with what to call her rhythmical utterances. After seeking the Holy Spirit, soetry was revealed.

To that end, Marsha Wade now considers herself a soet; that is someone who writes soems. She will be releasing one such soem in October. Stay tuned.
