Levy’s Heritage Releases ‘Champion’ (@levysheritage)

On Friday, October 14, 2022, Jamaican singing trio Levy’s Heritage released what is being called the motivational song of the season ‘Champion’. Champion is the group’s third released single for 2022, the others being ‘Yes Man’ and ‘One Touch Remix’. According to the group “Champion is not just a song, it’s an affirmation; something to build confidence and restore hope.” This message was also echoed in the music video for Champion, which was released on Levy’s Heritage’s YouTube channel, along with the song on all digital platforms.

The group gave patrons a taste of Champion ahead of the official release date at the Sterling Gospel Awards on October 8 and was well received by those in attendance. Some would say that performing the song was prophetic, as the group walked away with the award for Group of the Year, this being their third time as recipients of the award in the category.

Many supporters and industry players have expressed congratulatory messages to Levy’s Heritage on social media for the quality of the composition and production of the song, as well as the cinematographic look of the visuals; many sharing the sentiment that they foresee its success on a global level.

Champion is coproduced by Levy’s Heritage Music, Ewan Simpson – principal of Red Carpet Music and Pinnacle Studios, as well as Brinton Haughton Productions. The song is mixed by Earl Smith Jr from Home Grown Studios and mastered by Jayvis McIntosh from Pioneer Music. Decorated Jamaican musicians Rhon Matthison and Kenroy Mullings also supported with instrumentation and all vocals recorded by Ovando, Oneil and Oshin LevyLevy’s Heritage. Cinematography and editing were done by O’Raine Thomas and Nadia Roxburgh supported as Lighting Director.

Levy’s Heritage is encouraging all supporters of wholesome music to watch the video on YouTube and purchase Champion on their favorite streaming platforms.

JahRiffe Shares 2nd Single From His Upcoming Album (@JahRiffe)

Roots reggae artist JahRiffe, who is also the leader of the reggae band JAH-N-I Roots Movement, has just released another single from his upcoming studio album.

The track – titled Liberty – was produced by David Goldfine, who is known professionally as Jah D. He is the bass player for popular Jamaican singer and yoga teacher Jah9, and a member of the Zion High Kings Production team. Jah D played all the instruments on Liberty, while Etana‘s background vocalist Klyve Crieffe did the harmony. Once all the creative work was done, the finished track was then sent to Waltz Studio in New York for mastering.

JahRiffe has never shied away from addressing both social and spiritual issues publicly; as such, he felt compelled to write this song, especially after all that has taken place over the past two years. On the contemporary roots tune – he laments on the importance of being free within society, particularly from special interest groups and those with political power.

Liberty comes to us courtesy of JAH-N-I Roots Movement Records. It went live on all digital streaming platforms on Sunday, October 16.
