Young Survivors Entertainment Ltd. will present an event called Shut Down Belize on Wednesday, February 11th. This is a full band show that will be held at the Marion Jones Stadium – Verga 1778 – in Belize City.
Confirmed performers are Romain Virgo, Dexta Daps, KiDi, Camidoh, Moyann, Supa G, Brithney Starr, Mime and Unlmtd.
The Giddy Hall Class of 89 Reunion will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Whitehall Sports Complex in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. This is a family event that will have bounce-a-bout for kids, six side football matches, and a live reggae concert. Confirmed performers are reggae-dancehall artist Sugar Bear, Barbadian singer and songwriter Rayvon (known for his work with Shaggy), and international recording artist Terry Linen.
Linen is currently promoting his latest single – Playing Money Games – which was released last year by Tad’s Record Inc. On the track he talks about the contentious subject of women dating men for money, while making it clear where he stands on the matter. The record was shared in early May and the official video followed months later, in September.
It is expected that Terry Linen will perform the aforementioned song, along with his other hits – Couldn’t Be The Girl For Me, Jah Jah You Save Me, Your Love Is My Love etc. – at the upcoming reunion. The show will also feature Ruffcut International, Tripple T Sound and other respected selectors and sound-systems.
Afro Nation, arguably the world’s biggest afrobeat music festival, has announced their first U.S. show, set for May 27 and 28 at LoanDepot Park in Miami. They’ve also shared that African pop stars Burna Boy and WizKid will be the headliners.
They will be supported by Rema and Asake, dancehall legend Beenie Man, CKay, BNXN, Black Sherif, French rapper Franglish, and many more.

Jamaica’s member of parliament for St. Elizabeth South West – Floyd Green – will be celebrating his birthday with the return of We Still A Win. This is a stage-show and dance that will be held at the Barbary Hall in St. Elizabeth on Friday, January 13.
There will be a live performance by international recording artist Agent Sasco, with support from Topmann and special guest Shukkle Bus. Additional music will be provided by Slimmatic Entertainmet, King Ghetto, Mour Dan Sound and Jax International.
This event will double as a fund raiser for local Early Childhood Institutions.
Talib Kweli will be doing back-to-back shows at Blue Note Jazz Club – 131 W. 3rd Street – in New York, on February 7th, 8th and 9th. These are live band concerts that will feature Bob James, and a different special guest performer each night. On The 7th he will be joined by DMC, Slick Rick will perform on the 8th, and Rakim will join him on the final night, the 9th.

Vocal super group Dru Hill will join R&B legends Silk, Sunshine Anderson, and Changing Faces in Orlando for a night of Love & Laughter on Friday, February 17th, starting at 6:00pm. They will be at the Addition Financial Arena, which is located at 12777 Gemini Blvd.
