Legendary Blues Guitarist Joe Louis Walker Will Play At Iridium In February

Joe Louis Walker, also known as JLW, is confirmed for New York’s popular live jazz, rock and blues venue – The Iridium – on Saturday, February 18. This is an all ages concert that will begin at 8:30pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm.

Joe Louis Walker is a Blues Hall of Fame inductee and a four-time Blues Music Award winner. His album Everybody Wants a Piece (2015) was nominated for a Grammy.

Cormega’s “The Realness 2” Album Release Show Set For Feb. 9th In Baltimore

Vu Skateboard Shop presents The Realness 2 – Skate Deck Release Show on Thursday, February 9th at The Metro Gallery – 1700 North Charles Street – in Baltimore, Maryland. Cormega, who will be supported by Skarr Akbar and deejays Remedy and Excel, will perform tracks from the LP. He will also be available for a meet and greet with his diehard fans and supporters.

Friday Night Live In The City, a weekly event being presented by reggae-dancehall legend Junior Reid, returns tomorrow (January 20) with General B, Jigsy King and Alozade. All three men will be performing along with support from emerging artists: Black Lion, Jah Breadz, Fyad Arar, Flexxi and Empress DJ.

Location is One Blood Entertainment Center’s headquarters – 39b East Wood Park Road – in Kingston, and starting time is 8pm.

Beanie Sigel, Mobb Deep & Others Will Be In Paris For The 2023 “Triple H Festival”

From Friday, February 17th, to Sunday, February 19th, some of hip-hop’s most respected MCs will be in France for the 2023 Triple H Fest (Hip-Hop Heroes Festival). It will be held at Bataclan, which is located at 50 Boulevard Voltaire in Paris.

GZA Will Perform “Liquid Swords” Live At Yoshi’s This Sunday (@TheRealGZA)

In 1995 GZA – a member of Wu-Tang Clan – released Liquid Swords, his second solo studio album. This Sunday (January 22nd) his fans and supporters in California will be able to see him perform the full record live.

He is booked for two sets at Yoshi’s – 510 Embarcadero West – in Oakland. The first show, which is already sold out, is at 7pm, and the second show is at 9pm. Tickets are still available for the latter, and can be purchased on Yoshi’s website.

Experience Machel 40 On Carnival Friday In Trinidad (@machelmontano)

So far the king of soca – Machel Montano – has celebrated his 40th anniversary in music with shows in the United States, Barbados and Guyana. However, on Friday, February 17th, he will mark the occasion with a major concert at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

Machel 40, as it’s being called, will also feature surprise guest artists from both Trinidad and Nigeria. Most importantly, this is Montano‘s one and only live performance for Trinidad Carnival 2023. Tickets are available on eventbrite.
