Justus Arison (of JA Productions) has collaborated with the dancehall king, Beenie Man, on a new party song titled Sail Out. The audio, along with its official video, were released on all music platforms a few days ago – on February 3rd – serving as the lead track on the forthcoming compilation with the same name.
The Sail Out Riddim, which is due out at the end of the month, is being powered by JA Productions and DubShot Records. Title track aside, the album is already getting a lot of attention because it’s the first dancehall riddim that will be available on Dolby Atmos. For those not in the know, Dolby Atmos is a surround sound technology developed by Dolby Laboratories. It expands on existing surround sound systems and delivers an in-studio style listening experience.
The aforementioned is just another ground breaking move by Justus Arison, the man who has supported dancehall stars like Mavado, Gyptian, Charly Black, Popcaan, Shenseea, and Teejay early in their careers. Now working with Beenie Man – who is currently at the top of his game – Arison continues to make major moves. Sail Out – the single – is already featured on Run Tings and New Music Daily at Apple, New Music Friday playlists on Spotify (UK, Canada, NMF Christian, Ghana, Nigeria), Just Dropped playlist in the UK, and the Brand New Music UK playlist on Amazon.
As Valentine’s Day draws near, reggae recording artist Rad Dixon is sharing the second single from his recently released album, Hard Times. The track is titled Right Portion, a love song done with Portmore singer Talee. On the record both performers go back and forth expressing their undying love and desire for the each other, while proclaiming their partner has the Right Portion.
Tasjay Production, the imprint on which the album and all its subsequent singles are being published, just uploaded the official lyric video to YouTube. However, prior to the visuals being shared, Right Portion was already getting consistent rotation on reggae platforms. With that in mind – and as we are in the season of love – one can only assume that its feature on reggae medias will now increase exponentially.
Powered Tasjay Productions, Hard Times is a flawless, solid, roots-reggae album, that touches on varying topics: social issues, relationships, spirituality and creativity. It went live on all streaming platforms on new year’s day, 2023.
