Dancehall artist George P will celebrate his earth-strong with a concert and dance on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25th. It will be staged at Woody Lawn, 23 Lady Huggins Avenue, in Grants Pen, Kingston, Jamaica.
There will be performances by several artists; among them are Karamanti, Singing Sweet, Chico, Iyara, Savage, Falco DiGeneral, Nakash, and Kibaki, and that is just to name a few. It will be hosted by Digital Kim, with selectors Harry Hype, DJ Nutsy, and DJ Bullz on the turntables.
In the wake of what can only be described as a successful 2024, recording artist Mesha Steele is gracefully concluding the year by sharing Christmas songs from her expanding catalogue. In November, she unveiled both an album and a single dedicated to the festive season, inviting music lovers to embrace her unique holiday spirit.
Two key projects that deserve special attention are her previously released album, “Christmas in Paradise,” and the single “Good Mawnin Miss Lady.” Originally published years ago under John Q Records, “Christmas in Paradise” has been meticulously remastered and re-released through Mesha‘s independent imprint, Riddim Allstars. This album showcases her artistic evolution while retaining the warmth and joy associated with traditional Christmas music.
Moreover, “Good Mawnin Miss Lady,” which was produced during the pandemic, represents Mesha Steele‘s innovative take on a beloved Belizean Christmas classic of the same name. This reinterpretation not only honors its roots but also infuses it with her distinct style.
Both projects are readily accessible to audiences across various platforms including iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Apple Music, and all other major streaming services. After becoming disillusioned with the music industry, emerging Rastafarian artist Sheldon Gava opted to take a brief hiatus that lasted approximately two years. It was only through his association with like-minded music enthusiasts at large-scale, multi-genre music festivals that he began to rekindle his passion for combining words and melodies.
With his renewed excitement for creating tunes, Sheldon Gava has decided to get back in the game. As such, he will be releasing a new track titled “Read” on January 1, 2025. While making the announcement, Gava said the following: “New Year’s Day represents a new beginning, growth, and wishful thinking of changing for the better. “Read” answers the question, Should old acquaintances be forgotten? Yes, whenever necessary.”
Sheldon Gava was born in Old Harbor Bay, St. Catherine, Jamaica, but grew up in Brooklyn, New York. Among his discography is a ten-track album titled “Natty De Ras,” which was released in October 2020 on his own Gava Music LLC label. That was followed by “Weather Change,” a seven-track EP that was officially published on April 30th, 2021.

We know we are in a crisis when we sit in the buses and the taxis and the music violates every moral code of public sanctity and we see nothing, and we do nothing. Children live what they learn.”

Christians and gospel music lovers in Trinidad & Tobago are invited to attend the Prophetic Portal Praise concert on Friday, December 27th, at the Centre Of Excellence (17A Macoya Road) in Tunapuna, starting at 6:00 p.m.
The organizers’ objective is to end the year with the highest praise and worship. On Friday, December 20th, the king of soca, Machel Montano, and Vincentian musician, singer, and songwriter Skinny Fabulous released a collaborative single called “Fallen Fetters.” The high-energy record is a tribute to the deceased friends (links) of soca-party lovers (fetters).

Roughly one year after his award-winning album “Michael,” Killer Mike released “Michael & the Mighty Midnight Revival, Songs for Sinners and Saints,” a soulful ten-track record that features the likes of Offset, Blxst, Troy Durden, Key Glock, Anthony Hamilton, and Project Pat.
