Solomonic Productions presents Wailer’s Anniversary – Dinner and Dance – tonight, April 7th at Bournemouth Beach Park (Norman Manley Blvd. East Kingston).

Music will be provided by ‘I Lite Band’ and King Sturgav and of course the only living member of the original Wailers, Bunny Wailer, will be there. Admission is only $1,000. Come experience the history of Dancehall!

Mark your calendar for SNWMF 2017 at the beautiful Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Boonville, CA! SNWMF is an annual family festival with a positive vibe. This year, Epiphany Artists presents another intriguing lineup of the best in roots reggae and world music on two stages.

Confirmed is Jamaica’s original fire man, King Shango, more popularly kown as Capleton!

After officially stepping out on the music scene in the late eighties, Capleton is now at the height of his powers. In 1999 and 2000 he got several hits and dancehall chart toppers like the anti-violence anthem “Jah Jah City” and “Good In Her Clothes,” among several others. Known as one of the most energetic entertainers out of Jamaica, patrons at the SNWMF 2017 are in for a real treat.

Tarrus Riley, Dean Fraser and the Blak Soil Band kicks off their 2017 North America Tour on April 11th in Birmingham, Alabama.

Nesbeth Returns to Jamaica after a successful Euro Tour (@NesbethReggae)

Reggae singer Nesbeth is now back on the island following a successful tour of Europe. Commencing in late February to the first week of April the tour saw the entertainer sojourning on the continent for five weeks as part of an on-going campaign to expand his brand across that marketplace.

Playing over eight countries with stops in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Zurich, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Almere, Vienna, Helsinki, Paris, Brussels, Ghent among several cities Nesbeth says he is very please with the reception and feedback he has been receiving following the concerts.

Greensleeves / VP Records to Release Roots, Rockers & Dub Series on April 28 (@sunsofdub)

The Riddimentary series returns with 17 of the most influential and inspiring songs from The Greensleeves/ VP Records catalogue selected by Suns Of Dub. The CD, vinyl LP and Digital Albums will be in stores on April 28, 2017.

Suns Of Dub is a DJ/live musician collective blending the traditions of the roots/ rockers and Soundsystem culture, incorporating many different emerging forms of Dub related bass heavy music. The core performers are Ras Jammy, Jah Bami, and Addis Pablo (son of Melodica/Dub reggae legend Augustus Pablo.) The Riddimentary mix is a DJ set with live vocals, Melodica, steel pan, live dubbing and other live instruments.

Suns of Dub productions and remixes have received support from David Rodigan & Mary Anne Hobbs leading to live studio performances on BBC 1XTRA & BBC 6 with Cerys Matthews. This summer, Suns of Dub will performing at Boomtown Festival in England. They have also performed at; International Dub Gathering in Spain, Asa-Giri Jam in Japan, and have supported Skrillex and Diplo in performance.
