Recording artist UnLymited has joined a number of reggae and dancehall voices currently speaking out against guns and gun violence in Jamaica. His latest song and video, No Badda With The Gun Thing, sends a powerful message to the would be gun slingers, warning them not to go that route. Needless to say that this record is very timely as once again there is an uptick in gun related killings across the island.

ABOUT UNLYMITED
Jordan Morris, also known as UnLymited, was born in Saint Catherine, Jamaica. He later moved, with his mother, to the Tower Hill community in Kingston, where they lived for a few years. They again moved, and eventually settled in May Pen, Clarendon, where UnLymited pretty much spent most, if not all of his teenage years.

UnLymited discovered his talent right around fifth grade when he was in Primary school. His 5th grade teacher gave out a class poem and asked students to put their own spin on the poem. UnLymited did a rap version of the poem and the entire class went wild. From that point on he knew he had the gift of music and he has been performing and following his dream ever since. UnLymited has been influenced by all genre of music and by many artists, both past and present.

Currently UnLyminited is working with MJHmusik on a few singles, with an upcoming album to follow. After years of preparation, UnLymited has emerged as a formidable singer / songwriter in the music industry. With his determination and talent there is no doubt UnLymited will be a major force going forward as he continues on his musical journey.

On October 19th, the farmer man Jah Mason will do a set at the popular performance venue Muziekgieterij (located at Boschstraat 7) in Maastricht, Netherlands. He will be supported by the Jahvolution Band. This is a double concert that will also see the Dutch Reggae Delight – consisting of Dutch top vocalists Rapha Pico, Censi Rock & Junior Kenna – performing.

Grammy winning dub & reggae pioneer Lee “Scratch” Perry is celebrating the 45th anniversary of his landmark album “Blackboard Jungle Dub,” the world’s first dub album.

Scratch, now 82 years young, will embark on a tour across North America performing his 1973 studio masterpiece live in its entirety for the first time, aided by the
technology of NYC’s Subatomic Sound System, his hybrid band of new school electronics and veteran Jamaican musicians from the Black Ark era recordings. They will also perform music from their album “Super Ape Returns To Conquer,” which topped both reggae and electronic charts in 2018, plus singles like “Black Ark Vampires” and classics from Perry’s work with the likes of Bob Marley, Max Romeo, and many more. Perry’s Blackboard Jungle album includes dub remixes of hit songs he co-wrote with Bob Marley, “Kaya” & “Keep On Movin,” as well as other big tunes from The Wailers and Junior Byles. Etana’s new video for her song Spread Love, which is taken from the album, Reggae Forever, is now available for viewing on her Vevo channel. The video was uploaded on September 29th and as we have come to expect from Etana, both the song and visuals are beautiful and positive.

At the end of August, reggae recording artist Ruach Ru launched a new concert series dubbed PON DI ENDZ. The concept was to create an atmosphere where artists and
musicians can gather together and freely share their creative expressions while entertaining patrons. The first installment, which took place on Hughenden Avenue, was a success.

The second installment is scheduled for Wednesday, October 31st at a new location: Mello Sports Bar & Lounge, located at 16A West Kings House Road in Kingston (from 7 PM to 12 AM). In addition to hosting PON DI ENDZ on the 31st, Ruach Ru will also be celebrating her birthday; that being said, fans and supporters will be treated to a
special performance.

Artists that have already been confirmed include: Wormbass, WildLife, Sycorah, Earth Tremma and of course Ruach Ru. Additional artists will be added and announced shortly. Backing band for the evening is the Spirit Band. This is a free event and all are invited!
