On Saturday, September 28, Renascence Entertainment will host the 5th annual Reggae Divas & Conscious Kings concert; with a theme of celebrating women in reggae, while saluting positive male artists. This year they are featuring Ikaya and Nesbeth live from Jamaica!
The event will be held at Krave Lounge (located at 55 Nugget Avenue) in Scarborough, Ontario. Doors open at 8 PM and the show will begin at 10 PM. There is $40 entrance fee.
A few days ago Upsetta Records and Loud City Music released the single “Dutty Man” performed by Romain Virgo. On this powerful record Romain calls out men who are mistreating women, while simultaneously questioning ladies that stay around these men.

Organizers are promising good vibes and A-List performers on Sunday, September 15, at the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Reggae Vegan Fest at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles. The festival will run from noon to 9 PM and it’s an all ages event.
They’re inviting everyone to come out and see Reggae legends performing live! The lineup includes: Akae Beka (formerly a member of the reggae band MIDNITE, from the US Virgin Islands), Yami Bolo, Nadine Sutherland, Sister Nancy, Prezident Brown (All from Jamaica), Lamour & The Mystic Band (from Haiti), and many more. The festival features 100% vegan food and beverage plus clothing and other products. There will also be expert speakers on health, food, environment, and animals.

The 10th annual One Love One Heart Reggae Festival will take place this weekend, Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st. It will be held at the Yolo County Fairgrounds in Woodland, California.
This year’s lineup includes: Anthony B, Richie Spice, Lila Ike, Pato Banton, Sevana, and that is just to name a few. Tickets can be purchased online via Eventbrite.
Last week, Lt. Stitchie, who is also known as the Dancehall Governor, returned to Jamaica after wrapping up the first leg of his Masterclass Tour in Europe. The artist performed on ten major festivals in Spain, Germany, Belgium, England, Italy and France.
While on the road, Stitchie took time out to shoot two new music videos from the album, plus three live videos; one of which was for Manudigital‘s popular YouTube Artist Series. He also did approximately ten interviews via Radio, Podcast, Cable TV and magazines. If all that was not enough, the Governor somehow found time to engage in several successful dub-plate sessions.
Masterclass was released on April 12th of this year. It’s a 17-track album that features collaborations with Agent Sasco, Ricky Stereo, Million Stylez and Fantan Mojah. Producers include: Roy “Gramps” Morgan, Emmanuel “Manudigital” Herron and Cleve “Lt. Stitchie” Laing. Since its release, Masterclass entered the Top 20 Global Reggae Chart at #8 and it continues to do well on all reggae, dancehall and gospel platforms.
On Sunday, September 1st, Jesse Royal will do a live, upclose and personal session with K-Salaam in New York. The event will be held at the Basquiat Bottle, located at 1198 Fulton Street, in Brooklyn.
The organizers, Conscious NYC Productions, are making it clear that though doors will open at 10 PM the live show is scheduled for midnight.
