Sizzla Live in Concert, a one-night show that was supposed to take place at the L’Olympia in Montreal on Monday, September 2nd, was cancelled due to low ticket sales.
On the evening of the scheduled show, the following message was released via the venue’s website: “In the light of the day we had, we are in the obligation to cancel the Sizzla show tonight. Sizzla don’t want to perform due to the absence of ONE LOVE Festival Toronto’s payment. All the tickets will be properly refunded.”
The Broward Reggae Festival, which was initially scheduled for September 1st, will now be held on Sunday, October 6th. The change was due in large part to weather conditions at the time. Kong Star Production, Abbanation and Lucky Twins Restaurant will be hosting three well respected Jamaican musical talents in Suriname on Saturday, November 9th. The names are recording artists Duane Stephenson and Busy Signal as well as musician / producer Dean Fraser.
The event will be held at the Live Entertainment Center – located at Lalla Rookhweg 48 – in Paramaribo, Suriname. Other acts that will be on the show are Avock, Flyame and Mystic Routes.
International recording artist Gyptian will make his return to the popular music venue, Moe’s Alley (located at 1535 Commercial Way) in Santa Cruz, California on Friday, October 11th. He will be supported by Kava Jah and DJ Spleece.
Advance tickets for this event are going for $25 USD; it will be $30 USD on the day of the show.
Stargate Backing Band presents the B.U Riddim, which features international recording artists Luciano, Jah Mason, Exco Levi and others. The flagship artist on the rhythm, Luciano, just released the official video for his song “True To The Music.”
The video was directed by Romain ‘Sherkhan’ Chiffre and features the famous dancer-choreographer Orville ‘Xpressionz’ Hall, artistic director of the Xpressionz theater and judge of Jamaica’s number one dance TV series Dancin’ Dynamites.

Conscious Music Promotion presents Ska Meets Reggae at Columbus Park in Discovery Bay, St. Ann on Saturday, October 5th. There will be performances by Luciano, Ken Boothe, Derrick Morgan, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Hopeton James, Singer Jay, Super Black, King Kong and Danger Wong. Additional music will be provided by Sound Waves and Waffles Sound.
