The second installment of the Empreinte Reggae Festival will take place on Saturday, November 30th. It will be held at the Eden scène de Sausheim, located at 20a rue Jean de La Fontaine, 68390 Sausheim, in Alsace, France.

This is arguably the biggest indoor Reggae Festival in Alsace that features both French and international artists. Their headliners for this year are established Jamaican singers: Fantan Mojah and Jah Mason.

Courtney Melody Says He’s Ready For The 2019 Aarhus Reggae Festival!

There is a lot of buzz on the streets of Aarhus as the 2019 staging of the Aarhus Reggae Festival approaches. The event will take place on September 27th and 28th at Voxhall – Vester Allé 15, 8000 – in Aarhus, Denmark, and many are saying that this year’s lineup is by far the best.

Veteran reggae artist Courtney Melody, who made it clear that he is ready for the show, will join Leroy Gibbon as headliners. There will also be performances by Jamaican artists Bunny General, King Kong, Super Black, Kass Smith, Hya P and others. The organizers continue to support local talent by adding:Solomon Gundy, Jessica Rasmussen and Heart X to the lineup. In addition to the live performances patrons will also be treated to music from selectors: DJ Tiger Moth, Kali-Ma Sound, Papa Bongo and the YCHWU Crew.

At 83 years old, Grammy winning dub and reggae pioneer Lee “Scratch” Perry shows no signs of slowing down. It was just announced that he will be performing at Moe’s Alley (located at 1535 Commercial Way) in Santa Cruz, California on Sunday, October 27th. Perry will be supported by the Subatomic Sound System.

Reggae Nice Again! is a live reggae music event in the heart of the historic town of Falmouth; it will kick off this Saturday, September 21st at approximately 6 PM. The aim of the organizers is to remind their patrons that reggae is indeed nice again.

Reggae Nice Again! will be executed in a traditional street dance vibe at Kaya Herb House on Trelawny Street in Falmouth. Each staging of the event will see them blocking the street where the venue is located to recreate that authentic street vibe Jamaica is known for. Reggae Nice Again! lineup includes: Jesse Royal, Dre Island, Ras I, Kim Nain and others.

Marcia Griffiths & Dawn Penn Will Be Featured On Trojan Record’s ‘Love Is All I Bring’

Trojan Records / BMG has today announced details of its latest musical offering, Love Is All I Bring, which will be released on Friday, the 25th of October. This is a compilation record of hits and rarities by some of reggae music’s greatest female artists.

Love Is All I Bring showcases the very talented female performers of Trojan Records, who in the world of reggae can often be overlooked. It features vocals from the likes of Millie Small, Marcia Griffiths, Dawn Penn, Phyllis Dillion and others, plus productions by Sonia Pottinger. This all female record also includes personal album notes from musician Rhoda Dakar.

Love Is All I Bring can be pre-ordered on CD and vinyl right now, and on October 25th it will also be available on digital platforms.

On September 13th, veteran reggae singer and musician, Clinton Fearon, released his album “History Say.” The eleven-song project was made public on the Boogie Brown Productions label and features collaborations with Mike Love, Sherine Fearon, Alpha Blondy and Emeterians.
