The Jamaica Reggae Industry Assc. Will Host A Town Hall This Monday (@jaria)

On Monday, May 4th, the Jamaica Reggae Industry (JaRia) will be having a digital town hall to discuss ‘the State of the Music / Entertainment Industry.’ It will begin streaming at 1 PM local time on the organization’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Panelists include: Carlette Deleon (publicist), Joe Bogdanovich (producer / promoter), Ojay Bewley (managing director), Kabaka Pyramid (artist) and Ingrid Riley (editor). The host / moderator is Ewan Simpson (attorney at law and chairman).

George Nooks Does It Again!

George Nooks is arguably one of the few artist in the Jamaica music industry that can comfortably work in both the secular and gospel genres, while receiving support from fans unique to each classification.

That being said, his latest release, which is an extended reggae version of “He’ll Do It Again,” has already begun to get rave reviews from both the nation’s faith based communities as well as non believers.

A few days ago Freddie McGregor shared a new single titled “If God Is For Us.” On the bouncy reggae track the big ship captain is basically reminding listeners that evil cannot stand in the face of righteousness.

This Friday, May 1st, Raging Fyah‘s bass player, Pele, will go live on the group’s Instagram account at 2pm EST. He will be playing some of the bass-lines from the Raging Fyah catalogue, as well as some of his favorite songs not related to the group.

Additionally, he will share the stories behind the production of the music, talk about his influences and favorite songs to perform live.

Beres Hammond To Host Digital Watch Party This Sunday

On Sunday, May 3rd, Beres Hammond and his Harmony House musicians and singers will host a watch party on his Facebook page.

The crew will be reliving their appearance at Reggae Sumfest 2018. As it stands right now, Hammond has not settled on a start time, but if you are a fan of his you should ensure that you are on his page so that you don’t miss it.

Romain Virgo Will Perform Live This Weekend! (@realromainvirgo)

On Saturday, May 2nd, reggae artist Romain Virgo will go live on his main social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. He will deliver an acoustic set starting at 4:00 PM (Jamaica time).

Virgo joins a long line of artists that have decided to connect with their fans and supporters in this way.
