Yesterday – July 22nd – Chronixx released the “Cool As The Breeze” song and video via the Soul Circle Music label. This is one of those feel good summer songs that’s much needed right now, especially as Jamaica and other countries slowly reopens after the pandemic.

Yesterday, July 21st, Buju Banton appeared on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. He was interviewed and he also delivered a live performance. If you were not able to watch the show, you can check out his performance by clicking HERE.

As he continues to promote his new album, “Upside Down,” Buju Banton will appear on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah tonight, July 21st.
We inquired as to exact time he would be appearing, but that information was not given. However, the program airs on Comedy Central weeknights at 11E&P/10C so Buju‘s supporters will have to tune in to the full show.
The Marley family and Amplified Records have come together to re-imagine Bob Marley‘s classic anthem, “One Love,” in support of UNICEF‘s coronavirus response. The new song and video features artists from all around the world, including refugee camps and crisis zones.

When I first heard that several established artists entered the 2020 Jamaica Festival Song Competition, I immediately began questioning their motives. My thinking was that the competition should be left to emerging acts only, so that they can use it as a launching platform for their careers.
I quickly changed my thinking after hearing some of the songs in the top ten. I have to say that the big acts really delivered, and you can hear their love for Jamaica in every line of their songs. One track that I am personally enjoying is Buju Banton‘s entry “I Am A Jamaican.” Click here or on the image above to check out both the song and video.
