Due to the global pandemic, the organizers of this year’s Uprising Festival will be hosting a scaled-down version of the event; it’s being called the Wakelake Edition. The three day concert will be held on August 28th, 29th and 30th at Bratislava, Wakelake.

Because of the many complications surrounding travelling during covid-19, most of the performers will be local artists. The headlining act however, is Jamaican chanter Anthony B, who is already in Europe.

Towards the end of June Toots And The Maytals shared the lead single from the upcoming album, titled “Got To Be Tough.” Today we are learning that the full project will be officially released on Friday, August 28th via Trojan Jamaica.

Ziggy Marley‘s camp is now announcing that his new project, titled “More Family Time,” will be available to the public on Tuesday, September 8th. According to Marley, this is a kids / family album, which he believes children really need at this time.

The first single, “Play With The Sky,” featuring Ben Harper, is out now on all music platforms.

“Marley Documentary” Now Showing In Virtual Theaters and Drive-Ins

On Friday, July 31st, Kevin MacDonald’s 2012 documentary, “Marley,” returned to the big screen. The film is now showing in virtual cinemas and drive-ins across the United States.

The story follows Bob Marley from his upbringing in the Nine Mile community through his journey to Trenchtown in Kingston, Jamaica, which is where his music career started. The documentary features concert clips as well as exclusive interviews with Bob’s family and close friends.
