Chronixx, Beenie Man & Others Confirmed For The ‘One Yard Virtual Benefit Concert’ On Oct. 30th

Ansa Mcal Group of Companies and Ultimate Events Ltd. are working together to raise funds to help students and teachers in the Caribbean transition from in-person classrooms to online learning.

On Friday, October 30th, they will present the ‘One Yard Virtual Benefit Concert‘ that will see artists like Chronixx, Beenie Man, Ravi B, Kes The Band, Timeka Marshall, Freetown and so much more performing live.

The organizers are asking viewers to donate on the the day of the concert so that they can help to purchase much needed laptops for students who cannot afford them. Start times are as follows: 8:00 PM (AST) / 7:00 PM (EST). For additional info visit ultimateeventstt.com.

Stephen Marley, Bounty Killer, Patoranking & Others Confirmed For Digicel’s ‘One Love Together Concert’

Tomorrow – Friday, October 23rd – Digicel will kick off day one of their two-day virtual festival, ‘One Love Together.’ The event will feature performances from various artists located in the Caribbean, Africa, Asia Pacific and other parts of the world. Some of the confirmed performers include: Stephen Marley, Bounty Killer, Patoranking, Beenie Man, Patrice Roberts, and that is just to name a few.

The event will kick off at 8:00 PM EST and it will stream in HD via the D’Music App, as well on Digicel’s Facebook page.

Lutan Fyah Shares Visuals For “Nuh Trust Babylon”

On September 4th, Shawn Dan Production released a controversial single titled “Nuh Trust Babylon,” which is performed by reggae star Lutan Fyah. Last week the visuals were shared via Lutan‘s vevo channel and though it is done in a cartoon format, it’s effective in getting the message across.

Yishka is a recording artist/entertainer, who not only sings his own songs but has, and continues to contribute to his colleague’s music as a background vocalist. In addition to being a singer he is also known and respected as a professional saxophone player who has worked on an innumerable amount of records. 

Being an active artist/musician means that Yishka has performed on many major concerts, in hundreds of night clubs, hotels, at private parties and on countless festivals (both reggae and jazz). He has traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean Islands, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Mexico, Japan and the United States. 

Based in South Florida, he has appeared locally at some of the most popular venues, such as Cafes and Hotels on South Beach; Hungry Sailor and Monty Trainers in Coconut Grove; Lounges in Fort Lauderdale and the Tiki-Bar in Key Largo. 

To date, Yishka has released two albums, an EP and several singles, with his latest being “You’re My Sunshine,” done for Upstairs Music. The track is a bouncy lovers-rock reggae tune that has been getting great reviews from DJs/selectors all over the world.

Iconic Reggae Artist Toots Hibbert’s Burial Abandoned!

Toots Hibbert‘s burial, which was to take place yesterday at the Dovecot Memorial Gardens in Spanish Town (Jamaica), had to be abandoned as nobody in the family had the burial order in their possession. The laws in Jamaica states that the body cannot be placed in the grave without the burial order.
