At the end of 2020, bilingual reggae singer Dahlia Anderson who resides in Canada, shared the official video for her single, In My Mind. The promotion for the record, which was first released in 2019, was basically paused because of the pandemic.

Antigua & Barbuda’s Reggae Ambassador, Causion, has been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. The diagnosis came in November, 2020, after he was rushed to the emergency in South Beach, Florida.
Born Gregory Bailey in the twin island state of Antigua & Barbuda, the reggae artist has had a stellar musical career spanning more than 30 years. At the beginning of his musical journey his early hit songs included Crossroads, Different World, All About Love and All Night Long. He has performed on major music festivals such as Reggae Sumfest, and had recently wrapped up touring with reggae giants Third World. In 1999 his “Total Togetherness Tour” in Antigua & Barbuda cemented his title as the twin island’s official Reggae Ambassador.
Causion, who is based in the United States, now has four albums. He has headlined concerts to benefit the less fortunate and has participated in events to raise funds for cancer. He lost both his parents to the disease. This time he is reaching out to his friends, fans and colleagues for financial assistance as he begins his long road to treatment and recovery.
“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be in this position,” said Causion. “I think my current situation is a wakeup call for other artists. I’m hoping that my going public, will encourage other artists to get regular checkups. In our business we spend a lot of time focusing on the art form and not ourselves.”
The reggae artist is also a songwriter, who throughout his career has used his lyrics to uplift and educate others. His latest single, titled Thank You, is his way for saying thanks to his fans for the support they have shown him over the years.

The team at California Roots have announced that the Can’t Stop The Music 2021 Online Festival will take place from May 28th through to the 30th.
This digital experience, which will stream live on Facebook, will feature a mix of new and classic performances from Alborosie, Collie Buddz, Don Carlos, Jesse Royal, Jo Mersa Marley, Kabaka Pyramid, Protoje, Steel Pulse, Tarrus Riley and others.
This Sunday, May 23rd, a slew of artists from the Caribbean will partake in the Stronger Together Virtual Benefit Concert. This is a showcase featuring an all-star cast of performers who have joined forces to help raise awareness and funds for the relief and recovering efforts taking place in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Confirmed artists include: Alison Hinds, Aloe Blacc, Teddyson John, Skinny Fabulous, Voice, Dollarman, Jesse Royal, Beenie Man and much more. The event will stream live on Facebook, and persons are being asked to make a donation HERE.
On Saturday, June 5th, Studio 618 Entertainment, S.W.U.G. Foundation, Just Ent. and Misfits Records will all come together to present the Reggae Rotation Summer Celebration. The outdoor event will be held at Studio 618 Ent. headquarters, located at 2000 St. Clair Avenue East in St Louis, Illinois.
This is a band show that will see live performances from Lutan Fyah, Perfect Giddimani and Lion Heights. Gates will open at 6 PM (local time) and there is an entrance fee of $35 USD.
On Saturday, June 12th, Dubwise Miami will host the Royal album launch at Purple Palms Creative Inc., located at 80 Northeast 29th Street in Miami, Florida.
The event will see Jesse Royal performing songs from his sophomore album, Royal, as well as other songs from his catalog. Additionally, his team has also announced that he will be joined by several special guests.
The new album, which is on the Easy Star Records label, features songs like: Rich Forever, Lion Order, Natty Pablo and more.
On Mother’s Day (May 9th) Capleton uploaded the visuals for his 2020 hit single Mama Lives. The song, which was published last summer, was a tribute to his mother who passed away around that time.
