On new music Friday (December 10th) Anthony B, by way of Emudio Records, released Not Giving Up. The motivational reggae track is all about his staying power, not just in music but in life on a whole.

On Wednesday December 8th, 2021, Robert Warren Dale Shakespeare, who is publicly known as Robbie Shakespeare, passed away following kidney surgery in Florida. Although the beloved bassist has been ill for some time prior to his death, the news of his passing has shook the reggae community, leaving everyone in mourning.

The 68 year-old, who was one half of the legendary music duo Sly & Robbie, not only contributed to reggae music, he also played on albums by rock stars such as Bob Dylan and Mick Jagger.

Oneness Records has just released a nine-track roots juggling called City Riddim. It features new music from Luciano, Lutan Fyah, Queen Omega, Iba Mahr, Yaadcore, Devano and Vysionaer.

Reggae artist Turbulence and his team have just released his latest single: an upbeat roots tune called Burnin’ Blaze. Three mixes of the song were shared: the original, a dub and an edited version.

Roots artist Chezidek will kick off 2022 on stage in Dakar, Senegal. He is scheduled to perform at Hôtel Monaco Plage, located at Bel Air, Chemin de I’Hydrobase, with backing band Jahmo.

The event will also feature guest artists Saah Karim, Peeya Fyah and Wzaa. It is being presented by Kemtan Iyah and popular reggae promoter Sen Reggae.
