Datz Trending Entertainment, in association with Household Music, is set to present a night of authentic reggae music with the “Reggae on the Rise” live series. This staging will feature a performance by Dre Island, accompanied by The Jah Kingdom Warriors.

This live music showcase is scheduled for December 26th, 2025, at the Arch Street Tavern, which is located at 85 Arch Street in Hartford, Connecticut. Doors will open promptly at 9 PM, signaling the start of the evening’s entertainment.

Mr. Cool, the roots-reggae artist from St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, is enjoying a remarkable resurgence in his musical journey. Having first sung in church at the age of six and later begun his career as a DJ before recording his debut track in 1984, he has built a reputation for crafting uplifting and spiritually rooted music. His earlier albums, It’s Raining and Serious Times, showcase his commitment to conscious lyrical themes and his deep respect for reggae’s foundational figures like Bob Marley and Bob Andy.

Over the years, Mr. Cool has earned admiration not only for his strong vocal style, but also for his principled approach to songwriting. He has maintained a steadfast refusal to glorify violence, substance abuse, or disrespect toward women, which has resonated with listeners who appreciate substance and integrity in reggae. His new single, “Come Know Your King,” released on August 21, 2025, is a soulful tribute that reflects his spiritual convictions and reaffirms his place as a sincere voice in modern roots reggae. 

As Mr. Cool returns to the spotlight, he is now officially accepting bookings for 2026, opening the door for promoters, event organizers, and reggae lovers to bring his positive, roots-driven sound to new stages. With his trajectory clearly back in motion, Mr. Cool’s upcoming performances promise to be both musically gratifying and spiritually uplifting.

Jamaican roots-reggae standout Tony Curtis will kick off his 2025 Japan Tour on November 15 in Okinawa, where he will open with a live performance at Duplex.

Following the Okinawa opener, Curtis moves on to Osaka on November 16, performing at Hidden Abalone, before heading to Tokyo on November 18 for a special appearance at Club Asia. The tour continues on November 21 in Yokohama at Cool Runnings, a venue closely tied to Japan’s thriving reggae community. Curtis then travels to Chiba on November 23, where he is slated to perform at Mattari-Yah, before closing out the tour on November 24 in Okayama at Club Crown.

With six dates across key Japanese cities, the tour gives reggae fans the chance to experience an accomplished artist whose success spans both his work as a member of the renowned group L.U.S.T. and his distinguished solo career.

San Francisco’s vibrant reggae scene will unite for a cause on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Neck of the Woods, located at 406 Clement Street. Dubbed Sweet Jamaica Hurricane Relief, the concert was organized to support those affected by Hurricane Melissa.

It will feature performances by Jahdan Blakkamoore, Prezident Brown, Honey B, Anthony Garvey, and Xedous, bringing together a solid lineup of reggae and roots artists. Keeping the energy high throughout the night will be the Bay Area’s top sound systems, Jah Warrior Shelter Hi-Fi and King I-Vier.

The 2025 High Priest Reggae Festival, which is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, is gearing up to be an exciting night of Caribbean rhythm, culture, and music. It will be headlined by Brampton’s own acclaimed artist, Exco Levi, who continues to champion reggae’s rich heritage in Canada and beyond.
